Anti-McCain forces rally on the Web

The competition for anti-John McCain Web sites is so stiff that those looking to register new ones say the best names have already been snatched up.
"Virtually every one we thought of was taken," said Robert Shoemaker, who said his site RepublicansAgainstMaverickMcCain.com will go active this week. "The first one we wanted to do was Republicans Against McCain just short and sweet. That wasn't available, and we worked all the way around different labels we could use, none of them were available."
In the end Mr. Shoemaker, who held signs at last weekend's Conservative Political Action Conference protesting Mr. McCain's immigration policy, said he and his partners settled on the somewhat cumbersome name in order to preserve a version of the acronym RAM.
At last check StopMcCain.com, NoWayMcCain.com, ConservativesAgainstMcCain.com and RepublicansAgainstMcCain.com are all taken, as is IHateMcCain.com and the pointed VietnamVeteransAgainstJohnMcCain.com.

You again?!
Oh, I see. It's a
you people "thing". Is that it?
I don't expect anything that I'm going to say will snap anybody out of their own disillusioned version of reality, but it should be more obvious as time goes on that the "
you people" out there simply do
NOT support John McCain.
I fully expect there to be a lot of name calling, weeping, gnashing of teeth, and yes...even well wishes as we wander in the wilderness for "
forever or so". But what about those opposite us on the other side of the conservative split? What about those who will support McCain? Do you think there's going to be some grand awakening after we collectively get our heads handed to us in November? Do you believe that there will be someplace to take refuge? Are you going to get
that much satisfaction in hissing at us after the fact for the badness that we brought upon us all?
I'm still amazed that the McCain-Bots and the
"Anybody But Hillary" crowd can't seem to avert what they
MUST know is coming. They're driven by fear, and yet , knowing that we're going to ensure that their worst fear comes true, they plunge headlong into the false hope that there's simply no way that we can be right about this. Even a stupid person will attempt to duck if they have a little advanced warning that you are going to strike them. But these cowards that vote GOP out of fear are simply beyond my understanding.
A coward's existence must be a terrible thing. We will
NOT fear, nor will we be driven by fear, or by those who are, or even by knowing what the results of our actions will be!
The GOP is in the throws of death. We're watching it now, in spite of people who blindly claim that it isn't so.
Make no mistake though...we won't "wander" in any wilderness, nor are we "fringe". We've known what we were going to do before this massive setup by the GOP came down on those who simply didn't realize it. We haven't changed, nor will we change. Deal with it.
You keep preaching for Juan McPain, and I suspect you won't last long here...especially if you get pushy about it.

Thanks. :-) I get no great pleasure from telling people things like that, but they need to come to terms with it!

Yes, it is too bad. It’s not an easy decision. In any event I don’t doubt his patriotism and he has a few months to make his case. All he can do is reassure me of his reasoning power though because I won’t be voting for McCain.
