The competition for anti-John McCain Web sites is so stiff that those looking to register new ones say the best names have already been snatched up.
"Virtually every one we thought of was taken," said Robert Shoemaker, who said his site RepublicansAgainstMaverickMcCain.com will go active this week. "The first one we wanted to do was Republicans Against McCain just short and sweet. That wasn't available, and we worked all the way around different labels we could use, none of them were available."
In the end Mr. Shoemaker, who held signs at last weekend's Conservative Political Action Conference protesting Mr. McCain's immigration policy, said he and his partners settled on the somewhat cumbersome name in order to preserve a version of the acronym RAM.
At last check StopMcCain.com, NoWayMcCain.com, ConservativesAgainstMcCain.com and RepublicansAgainstMcCain.com are all taken, as is IHateMcCain.com and the pointed VietnamVeteransAgainstJohnMcCain.com.

John McCain is a very selfish man, and on a Wednesday morning in November of this year, he will regret that.

The more I check on John McCain, the scarier he becomes. It makes no sense for Republicans to support him unless they wanted to throw the election to Hillary!

Every time I even entertain the notion of holding my nose and voting Queeg, I come across one of your posts and the thought passes.
I don’t think McCain’s supporters and operatives have the faintest idea how woefully unpersuasive they really are. It’s almost as though you’re trying to sink his candidacy.
What I am interested in is:
1. How do we get an alternative to the convention and nominated?
2. Who is the right alternative(not Huckabee), and?
3. How do we prevail against Hillary and/or Obama?
I really think it is going to take a bunch of Freepers and others taking the helm in the GOP to get an effective, conservative, and affordable administration.
So all you got is fear? That won’t stir a movement or cause me to even slap a bumper sticker on my truck or put a sign in my yard. Where are his grat plans to move the country? My taxes will go up under McCain because of new “citizens”, GloBULL warming & such. That man that might take you wallet, might be the one that you vote for.
We must b careful because the liberals want to splinter us. By dividing us against the nominee, they are guaranteeing an Obama or Clinton win.
This life-long Republican will not vote for John McCain, and, whether our next President is Mr. McCain, Mr. Obama, or Ms. Clinton, I venture to say there’s rough weather ahead for America and Americans. As Samuel Adams said, “Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you....”
