Read the second link in comment# 1. They could organize their own militias and arm them with more than small arms, i.e. hanguns, rifles and shotguns. The National Guard is a federal organization that the feds lend to the governors when they're not activated for federal purposes.
It was a grass roots movement that organized in most states for shall issue concealed carry privileges. Alaska went from privilege to right like Vermont has always been. Wyoming got one house in its legislature to make it a right.
But can an individual person be a militia??? What I was saying was if the SCOTUS says it’s the state milita that’s allowed to keep and bear arms, what happens to those states that says individuals can have their own guns .....
