Clinton's Deputy Campaign Manager Steps Aside (another one bites dust)
Washington Post ^ | 21/12/08 | Chris Cilliza

Mike Henry, deputy campaign manager for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) has resigned, according to a source familiar with the decision.

Henry tendered his resignation yesterday morning but worked the last two days on a volunteer basis. His departure is not entirely unexpected, as he was brought into the campaign by Patti Solis Doyle, who stepped down on Sunday.

In an email sent to staff and obtained by The Fix, Henry writes: "As someone who has managed campaigns, I share the unique understanding of the challenges that the campaign will face over the next several weeks. Our campaign needs to move quickly to build a new leadership team, support them and their decisions and make the necessary adjustments to achieve the winning outcome for which we have all worked so hard for over a year now."

Howard Wolfson, communications director for Clinton's campaign, said that Henry had done "an oustanding job for the campaign and his expertise will be missed."

Howard Wolfson is a stinking, lying weasel. See you at your deposition, Howard.

Translations follow

“As someone who has managed campaigns, I share the unique understanding of the challenges that the campaign will face over the next several weeks.”

= We are in deep do do.

“Our campaign needs to move quickly to build a new leadership team,”

= What else can we try... and find a new sucker who will put their name on it

“Support them and their decisions and make the necessary adjustments to achieve the winning outcome”

= Cover their butts till they can get jobs in the Obama campaign.

“for which we have all worked so hard for over a year now.”

365+ days of cold food, no sleep and her tantrums.... all for nothing. I knew I shouldn’t have made a pass at Huma!

Had to find an appropriate picture, as I never realized how much Hillary now reminds me of the demise of the great ship Titanic:

She is cold as ice and the Titanic stern is about the same size as hers. Plus they both are (were) sinking fast:

And, (in Hillary’s case, regarding Huma,) they both went down by the head.

Remember, Captain Smith had warnings about icebergs; Captain Hillary has had warnings about her campaign sinking too.

Oh some Titanic trivia: Captain Smith had never had an accident or been in a collision with another ship, iceberg
etc until that fateful night in April, 1912. One of the reasons so many wealthly people were aboard the maiden voyage was because of Captain Smith’s reputation as a skillful mariner.
