WASHINGTON (AP) --
Barack Obama has won Virginia's Democratic primary, defeating Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Obama is also hoping to capture first place in Tuesday's Democratic primaries in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Republicans are voting, too, and it looks like Mike Huckabee is making an unexpectedly strong challenge to John McCain in Virginia.
The Associated Press made its Democratic call based on surveys of voters as they left the polls.

Obama is winning the women’s vote? wow, this could be significant. The older women esp. have been the core group for Hillary. If Obama peels the women away, what’s Hillary left with?
I would vote for McCain, but he has to crawl over glass and dedicate his life to conservative principles.
Huckabee beating McCain would be huge.

Obama is a natural politician, and while it is true he has virtually no experience and nothing in terms of leadership etc., if anybody can cover that up and stroll to a massive victory over the GOP candidate, he can.

Does he stand a prayer of denying McCain enough delegates to win the nomination?

If you are like me and simply don't think the Country can stand a Clinton II presidency you've got to be for Obama at this point as the only way to prevent it.
IMO McCain is unelectable so whoever wins the Dem nomination is de-facto President.

The returns are from western Virginia - Huck’s strong area - Nothing from the coast - McCain’s stronger area...
The exit poll numbers was amazing. Obama got a majority of almost everything, including the number of women voters. Hellary barely beat among white voters, but it was very close: 51% to 48%.
I don’t remember all the other exit poll numbers. But they all were very-very big in favor of Obama.
I will vote Republican this November. But I just love it when I see Hellary lose.
If he wins, please tell me he is smart enough (and loves breathing enough) not to pick the H-Beast as his running mate.

Silly Dems fall in love with another slick talking, sound-bite ridden, inexperienced nut all over again. Not that Hillary is much better, but, this sleeper cell Hussein Obama is a diaster of epic proporations.
