Elders?
At least one Superdelegate is just 21 years old.
Looks like, now at least, Obama is going into the convention with the most delegates. Let’s hope so.
Because you know that the Clintons will pull every dirty trick possible in order to get the nomination, and this is likely to piss off a whole bunch of these youngsters (who don’t bother to vote anyway).
So, how about some stealth freeper protesting? Go out as Obama supporters who are upset that the Clintons stole the nomination, stir up some crap?
well we’re republicans but they are the ones with a problem with the idea
I wouldn’t want the Elders of Prion to pick my candidate , either!.............
“dyspeptic” must be the word of the week for pundits.
What was it Evita aka the SHE-DEVIL say, “IT WILL BE ME”!
If Obama keeps on racking up crushing margins in the primaries he wins, the super delegates will probably go with him too. They are after all politicians who are very adept at figuring out the current wind direction and intensity.
Not according to Limbaugh’s mongoloid macheteros. A McCain presidency is far worse, somehow.
It must hurt to have a brain and not know how to use it. A McCain presidency will ruin the republican party. It will finally finish us off and turn us into a complete Democrat lite party, with no conservatives ever able to win nomination again. This is what Rush is talking about. The country as a whole will suffer more in the long run with McCain at the helm than with Hillery or Obama in the WH. McCain is the same as the democrats he is running against and there lies the danger.
you said it
i am with you
Obama is much worse than anything else out there
In general we elect representatives with the intention that they will have more time and better information from which to make good decisions. If we don't like the decisions they make we can then vote them out. However, what this does is reduce the influence of impulsive mobs that are easily swayed by emotion rather than facts.
It's a good idea, as long as we select our representatives carefully. Unfortunately, we often don't. This is true about the Democratic Party officials, the Republican Party officials, and our elected public officials.
Few people pay much attention to who runs for these positions. They tend to be political insiders that have a somewhat moderating effect.
In the case of the Democrats that means they prevent the party from electing someone like Kookcinich.
In the case of the Republican Party they not only keep us from electing someone like Ron Paul, they keep us from electing someone that would try and significantly weaken the power of the government, because that would weaken the power of political insiders such as themselves.
These more liberal political insiders lives revolve around the government. It is the government from which they get their power. They don't want to shrink it's influence.
They are actively working to pull the Republican Party to the left. It's hard to unseat them from within the Republican Party, because they have the connections and the support of the party leadership. Even if we rise up against one of them, they will make sure that that person gets replaced with another that will advance their agenda. True conservatives simply aren't organized enough to take them on. We just want the government to do the things it is constitutionally authorized to do, do them well, and otherwise leave us alone.
The liberals who whine about the Electoral College are going to freak out when the supers hand the nomination to Hillary.
This is getting fun to watch!
Please make the case for your assertion:
The country as a whole will suffer more in the long run with McCain at the helm than with Hillery or Obama in the WH.
Where are the cries of "disenfranchisement" when it comes to nominating your candidate?
...At least Rush can go satilite radio just in case.
We could see a lot of blood-letting at the Dems convention.
