I believe that Barack Obama will defeat Hillary and win the Democratic nomination. I think that this weekend's victories in states as diverse as Washington State, Louisiana, Nebraska, and Maine illustrates his national appeal and demonstrates Hillary's inability to win in states without large immigrant and Latino populations.
Hillary's results on Super Tuesday, which amounted to a draw with Obama, will be her high water mark and will represent the closest she will ever come to the party nomination.
Right now, CBS has Obama ahead in elected delegates with 1134, while Hillary has only 1131.By the time Virginia, Maryland, DC, Wisconsin, and Hawaii vote during the next week, Obama will have a lead over Clinton of about 100 delegates, even counting the super delegates who have thus far committed themselves.
March 4th will, at worst, be a wash for Obama with his probably wins in Ohio, Rhode Island and Vermont offsetting his probable defeat in Texas. (Although in Texas' open primary, Republicans and Independents may flock to the Dem primary to beat Hillary).
And then come a list of states almost all of which should go for Obama, including likely victories in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Indiana. By the convention, he will have more than enough delegates to overcome the expected margins Hillary may rack up among super delegates.
And don't bet on all the super delegates staying hitched to Hillary. These folks are politicians, half of them public office holders who are really good at reading the handwriting on the wall and really bad at gratitude for past favors.
Since 2004, I have predicted that Hillary Clinton would be the nominee. But, given the consistently amazing performance of Obama, his superior organizational and fund-raising skills, his inspiration of young people, and the flat and completely uninspiring performance by Hillary, it looks to me like it will be Obama as the Democratic nominee.
He is tied with Bob Novak.
This almost certainly assures that Hitlery will get the nomination. Anyone who has followed Morris’s prognostications for any period of time knows that it is virtually a sure thing that the opposite will occur. I believe that if the Clintons can’t win the nomination they will almost certainly steal it. If it means getting Florida and Michigan counted then so be it. Whatever it takes!
I predict Barack won’t be given the chance. Hillary is the Democrat Party’s John McCain.
Morris is always wrong. Didn’t Rush say he thought Obama would not be it.
Morris is a great analyst, but a terrible predictor of election results. If he gets this one right, it will be notable.
There are millions of citizens who are voting now who weren’t around for some of the things we experienced. Many are young and full of hope. We know only too well that assassination can change things pretty damned quick. John Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Jr., and the attempted assassinations of George Wallace and President Reagan. My fervent prayer is that this election will not bring forth such a horrible event again.
WHY???
How come in one of those pics she has her wedding ring on and in the other she does not? Weird.
Not to mention the stacks of his Condi vs. Hillary remainders collecting dust at my local Barnes & Noble.
Didn’t Dick say Hillary would sweep in 2008 and the GOP would be out of power for eight (8) years?
Dick didn’t see this one coming. Dick needs to get into writing soap operas or something and stay out of politics.
It’s Moday and Morris the Dick predicts the Irishman O’Bama.
She does in both pictures, it’s just a flip-flop. LOL, put on your glasses. I see things darker on this desktop than on my laptop, maybe that’s what’s happening to you??
AH....you are right!
I too predict that Obama will win, because he will first beat Hillary , then he will beat McCain because a huge number of stubborn conservatives beat the Hell out of McCain because he wasn’t conservative enough for them, laying the way for Obama to the White House, were later those same stubborn conservatives who foolishly stood by their federalist papers and border fences, forgot to stand by the Troops, and let a liberal Che Guevera , radical muslim sympathizer named Obama into the Oval Office.
Oh, even if he loses, it will drive a stake through her heart. Because the only way he loses the nomination, is if the Clintons destroy him.
And if that happens, I think the vast majority of Obama's people either stay at home, or vote McCain -- I think they'd hate Hillary that much.
“The latest from that peerless political prognosticator, Dick Morris!”
I do hope you are being sarcastic!
He published a column on Christmas saying Michigan would pick the Republican nominee. I sent him an email on the 26th, and told him he had it wrong, and that South Carolina was the critical state. He was wrong, and I was right, which took no great intelligence on my part.
Like most media personalities Dick Morris is a legend in his own mind, who persists primarily due to inertia.
Let’s take a look at past FR Dickie Morris headlines, shall we?

LOL!
Millions of them, in every high school and college in the country; And probably 3/4 of the people who support Obama.
Agreed; There IS something Orwellian about him... Heck, maybe even the precursor to something 'Biblical' (and I don't mean that in the good way).
Anyone skilled in 'reading between the lines' can tell that he is at least a hardcore socialist, if not an outright Communist. Unfortunately his public personality is so alluring that it disarms even people who should know better.
The first time I ever heard of him, (watching the 2004 Dem Convention), I said "That is the most articulate crypto-socialst I ever heard."
The main reason, I believe, that people on 'our side' that would prefer him to Hillary is that they think that his apparent naivety would make him easier to control. I'm not sure that is correct, but it is worth thinking about.
