Y’know..
You should never buy/drink a bottle of water while driving a 5 speed.
I bought one at a store and took off down the road, trying to open that bottle.
Got the cap off, bur UNDER that, is a nother little seal that you have to pry off..then put the cap back on and drink your water.
*shift gear*
Took off the cap..
*shift gear*
pried off the little seal
*shift gear*
I DROPPED the cap
*shift gear*
Now, I have a 40 degree bottle of water nestled between my knees and no cap for it.
Water is sloshing out of the bottle onto my knees..
Looking around to see if I can spot the cap anywhere..
NOPE
Put turn signal on
*downshift*
one more glance to see if I cam spot the cap before pulling over..
*downshift*
Exit car and look for bottle cap..
NOTHING
It’s not anywhere!
Get mad and dumped water out of the bottle and threw it across the parking lot
Get back in car and about to slam the door..
and there it is, in the door-pocket
a bright blue bottle cap...
*sigh*

The search party found his rental car, found his warm clothes in it and searched the area at around the 10,000 ft mark for three days. No joy.

At that altitude most figure he would have hiked less than half a mile, probably less. Most now figure that the guy wanted to disappear but can't prove anything. It's happened before.

We had the same problem in the hospital years ago.

They built a new wing.. Multimillion dollar project.

Modern room, modern nurses station and carpet.

You don’t want carpet in a hospital..

Sick people do unfortunate things on it. Sick and frail people have to walk and push their IV poles on it. It makes them trip.

If they’d have talked to a nurse first it would have saved big bucks...could have put tile down in the first place.

We had a beautiful and bountiful year last spring/summer and now we have to pay the piper.

It will probably be terribly hot this summer, too. I dread it!
