Contessa, Closet Conservative?
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

I certainly wouldn't want to create problems for the charming and intelligent Contessa Brewer [file photo]. But again today the MSNBC anchor said something that made me wonder whether she might be a closeted conservative in the belly of the liberal beast.

Janet Huckabee, responding to Brewer's question on the possibility that her husband would withdraw from the presidential race, drew a contrast between the Romney and Huckabee campaigns.

Newsbusters is absolutely consumed with everything MSNBC.

The only thing I know about MSNBC is what they mention on their site.

They hated having a newsreader from MSNBC and they chased each and everyone of them off the show.

Imus used to call her C_ntessa to her face. They’d have the make-up and hair people on to talk about how hard it was to make her look presentable. Non-stop arguments with Tracy, etc.

Eventually Contessa just flat out refused to show up for work.

I miss Imus. The guy’s such a crank, he reminds me of my Grandfather.

Hi BB: I’m Mark, the author of the original article over at NewsBusters. It’s true that we [me in particular] write a lot about MSNBC. There are a couple reasons. First, our mission at NewsBusters is combating liberal bias, and there’s plenty to be found at MSNBC. Second, despite their bias, I do find that they attract many interesting, high-level guests. Fox News isn’t fertile ground for us, and CNN often seems boring in comparison.

You could do a piece on Fox shilling for the RINOs and ignoring the conservatives this election season. That would be interesting.

I’ll point you here:

Otherwise, keep up the good work.

Good work, Mark. I watch MSNBC sometimes in the morning and you’re right that they often have interesting guests. What fascinates me is how completely they have joined the Obama cult.

Fox News isn’t fertile ground for us...

Why? Because they consistently deride conservatives and have become the mouthpiece for the Open Borders Big Government "Compassionate" Neoconservatism?

Krauthammer? Barnes? Kristol? Even Humes...
