ARLINGTON, VA U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today announced that former Florida Governor Jeb Bush has endorsed John McCain for president.
"John McCain is a patriot and devoted conservative leader," said Governor Bush. "Like no other candidate in the field, John McCain has made tremendous sacrifices for this nation. He is beholden to no interest other than that of the public good. He is determined and steadfast in his commitment to reducing the burden of high taxes, restoring the people's trust in their government, and winning the war against radical Islamic extremists. It is with pride that I announce my endorsement of John McCain for president."
Can we stop with the demonizing already? Because your tactic has worked SO WELL thus far.
Jeb is hardly a RINO. He was as conservative, if not more, than Ronald Reagan.
Mccain brought it on himself. trying to give away America’s soverignty and turning his back on the conservative movement.
John “Captain Queeg” McCain. Voted against tax cuts. McCain-Feingold squelched free speech. Doesn’t like judges like Alito who are “too conservative”. Wants more rights for terrorists at Gitmo. Believes in the myth of Global Warming and will make sure it costs you $$. With Ted Kennedy, wants to give 20 + million illegals US citizenship. With friends like Captain Queeg, we dont need enemies. McCain is a LIBERAL and he doesn’t deserve your vote. Let him go down to a well deserved defeat.
Aw geez, another bush drinking the kool aid.
The Bushes have left the GOP in shambles, with a lot of help from uninformed registered Republicans.
Sorry Jeb, though I believe McCain is better than either Hillary or Obama, he has some serious baggage that makes this statement...at least for me...simply untrue.
One example...if McCain is beholden to know special interest except that of the public good (meaning the US public), then please explain to me the existance of Juan Hernandez on his campagn staff.
All the endorsements of conservatives and RINOs alike aren’t going to help McQueeg do anything more than win the chance at losing the main event.
Just curious, are there any members of the Republican Party who aren’t Rinos?
Oh yeah, everyone who is willing to support McCain if he’s the nominee is a RINO. Guess that makes me and my whole family RINOs, regardless of our beliefs, reasons, or political history.
Ditto!
Jeb Bush was one of the best Govenors in the State of Florida.
I was very disappointed he didn’t come out and endorse Romney prior to 1/29 Florida primary.
Your withhunt for RINOs has become humorous. What other alleged conservative will be outed as a RINO next? Tune into Free Republic to see!
Don’t you know that anybody who endorses John McCain is a RINO. No matter how many Republicans endorse the man, he and they are the RINOs. At least that’s the explanation from the McCain haters on this board. It’s becoming obvious who the real RINOs are.
If Fred had been able to run a good campaign they’d be doing the same for him and you know it.
Politics people....politics and party first. Don’t expect these folks to do anything different.
I don’t expect McInsane to win, however. I will take delight in the agony of the “moderate republicans” and other rino ilk in November. Let the purification of the GOP begin.
We need to come up with a new term like “jump the shark” for conservatives who forget their principles and fall in line behind McCain.
how about ‘Jumped the Elephant?”
suggestions welcome
BobDole redux disease....they are climbing on board like lemmings.
“I’m tired of all the Bushes”.
Yes, I am tired of them also. No more Bushes, no more Clintons.
