Those of us who are not going to vote for McCain still need to go vote for all the other Republicans. It’s what I intend to do. No sense giving Obama more Democrats to work with. By all means, keep McCain from destroying the Republican Party, but don’t give it all away.

Exactly. We need enough conservative Republicans in congress to oppose any liberal president and limit the damage. If it's McCain, it'll be harder for them to do so, so I'm not voting for him. But I'm supporting any conservatives I can in Congress. Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater. Or the conservatives out with the RINOs.

So, you’re not voting? How will the Republic ever survive?

“The idea facilitating all this, while hiding under this or behind the banner of: “I’m principled and they’ve let me down and they need to be taught a lesson.”

“Why is it you cannot see who the real problem in America is or who your real enemy is in a political sense? Why can’t you see it? And if you do see it, then would somebody explain to me how ignoring the enemy and allowing them to gain more power somehow advances your cause?”

These are wise quotes that a great many FReepers are far too stubborn to pay attention to. And the biggest loser from all this is going to be our country.

...“It’s the Superdelegates, stupid.”

Well said. It will be interesting to see how the MSM is manipulated right before and during the "Democratic Party" convention.

What would be even more interesting would be to listen to all the pollsters and focus groups consultants and what the "party faithful" have to say about different explanations for what will happen.

A real bellwether signal will be what happens to the Florida delegates who were not suppose to count, as only Hillary campaigned and was present. There was another state where the democratic primary was not suppose to determine the delegates, but Hillary was on the ballot. I expect that with much protest by Obama, the delegates will both be awarded to Hillary.

If there is ANY way to steal this elections the KKKlintons will find it or invent it. When the time is right expect Hellary to drop a bombshell on Obama. They will win by any means necessary.

No one at the IRS and elsewhere will unleash a vendetta against Republicans the way it would if Hillary appointed and controlled the Federal Government.

I see your point about the judicial appointments. That is a problem. But I think looking long-term w/r the party, if we can't get a conservative elected SOON, we're doomed. Having McCain in there will reduce the chance of that, but having a Dem in there will rally conservatives for future elections. (ie., we needed a Carter to get a Reagan). Otherwise, it'll be lib vs. lib for the rest of our lives.

The PC Hierarchy:

1) Black
2) Latino
3) Woman
4) Abused Animal
5) Endangered Animal
6) Indigenous people
7) Trees, plants and nature
8) Muslims, Africans, Asians, and Latins not in the USA, and particularly if they are doing something incomprehensibly hideous
9) Working people (unless they are white men and thus trumped by one of any of the above).
10) Actual victims of current injustice (unless trumped by any of the above).

John Edwards never had a chance.

Rush is looking here: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/democratic_delegate_count.html#upcomingstates
Clinton leads in Ohio by 20+, Pennsylvania by 20+, and Texas by 12. Obama needs 2 of 3 of these or he’ll never catch her.

This is going to be good.

A halfrican Marxist with ties to the Nation of Islam against a socialist crook 14 carat bitch from hell.

he dilemma is how does she mug him for the nomination without blood in the streets as a result.

The key is whether she can get the sanctions lifted against Florida and Michigan, giving her about 200 more delegates in the process.

If not, and she tries to strong arm the blacks, it will be Rodney King time all over again.

Either way its good news for the GOP.

Oops - forgot to say what I meant to w/r what I quoted from your post. McCain, IMO, will be just as nasty as Clinton against those that thwarted him in the past. Ie., the conservatives.

If I was Howard Dean and the others, I would lock both of them in a room and tell them to decide this right now and don’t come out until it is settled. I wonder if that would work or would one of them end up dead????

Getting the Fla & Mich delegates will be the first route, changing the rules post-hoc. Obama didn’t even have his name on those ballots due to the understanding of the rules during the primary.

The Clinton machine also has the ‘super delegates’.

The best thing for the country would be if Obama goes into the convention with a clear delegate lead, and the Clintons steal it.

Photos of Obama in his mengaji classes decked out in his Islamic regalia during his time in Indonesia are not going to go over very well with most Americans.

"McCain is only going to win through the anti-Hillary vote"

And even that might not be enough if he doesn't learn one more lesson in his old age... "You can draw more workerbees with honey than you can with vinegar!"

At least Bob Dole's acerbic wit was not directed at conservatives to the degree that lump-jaw's has been to date and Juan is goin right over the same cliff even harder than Dole if he continues to think we need him more than he needs us!!!

Motivating us through fear is NOT going to be as successful as entertaining our concerns and issues with genuine acceptance and respect!!! We know when we're being sneared at. We're mad as hell and we're not gonna take it any more!!! (see the new tagline)

and Obama will be the VP

Obama is too smart to associate himself with the Clinton machine. He has seen what happened to Al Gore and knows he'd be nothing more the House Negro in the Clinton administration.

Why is that? These are not winner-take-all, so there can be any number of combinations of other states that could put Obama over-the-top even if he loses all three, aren’t there?

What would the people and the MSM be like if Hillary pulls a win out of her tushie? (Meaning something less than above board)

I don’t believe there would be rioting, but I do think that if the Dems were as upset with THEIR nominee as we are with ours, people would be paying attention. It would be a huge mess.

A Secret Service nightmare - having to protect the president from the VP.

Even more of a nightmare would be protecting the ex-President from either his wife who might either be Pres or VP. Hillary has been known to throw things at Bill when she gets mad. If she was Pres or VP, and Bill was caught with his pants down, the ex-Presidents Secret Service detail might have to "turn their back" while Hillary did her thing. I am sure that she would threaten the Secret Service with absolutely no second thoughts about doing her bidding.
