Virginia Freeper Voting for Obama - Tomorrow
self | 02-11-08 | WL-Law

Posted on 02/11/2008 7:13:26 AM PST by WL-law

Tomorrow is, of course, primary day in Virgina.

The question is -- how can I get the biggest effect with my primary vote, on shaping the November election?

A protest vote against McCain, i.e., for Huckabee? Sorry, can't pull the lever for the Huckster. Just can't do it -- as George Bush 41 would say, "not gonna do it".

A protest vote for Romney? Maybe, and that's my initial impulse, but it's not clear what I buy for that.

Crossing over and voting for Obama? That's my inclination. I'm worried about the effect, one that'e been cited by many (I read it again today in the latest Susan Estrich column) about the "gap" between Obams's polling numbers (even the exit polls) versus the final reality of the private voting booth results, which get spun as "Hillary comebacks". As my father would say, "Comebacks my arse."

The polling gap is telling anyone that wants to notice that "some democrats are uncomfortable about race", and are lying about it even as they leave the polls, and while that's no surprise to conservatives, it's an especially worrisome factor right now.

We've heard all the talk about who, between Hillary and Obama, is the more formidable candidate against the repubs, but I take that all for idle chatter. One elementary fact I can say for certain, one thing that I know -- -- is that I cannot BEAR the thought of either Clinton in the White House again. So I'm going to break with Ann Coulter on this one -- for me it's visceral.

So -- my intent is to vote democratic tomorrow, and pull the lever for Barack. Remember the old Steve Martin bit. “Steve, how are you sooo funny?” His response - “I put baloney in my shoes, and then I feel funny! Perhaps I'll get the baloney out before I head to the polls. I know I'll get a funny look from the registrar of voters, who'se a personal friend of mine. I'll give her a wink as she says "oh my!"

Obama and Odinga share the same Luo heritage and history and has made it possible for them to share the same spotlight at this defining moment in Kenyan and American histories about hope and fear.

Raila Odinga has, in his own words, a “close personal friendship” with Obama.

When Obama went to Kenya in August of 2006, he was hosted by Raila and spoke in praise of him at several rallies in Nairobi. Obama’s bias for his fellow Luo was so blatant that a Kenya government spokesman denounced Obama during his visit as Raila’s “stooge.”

’m thinking of doing the same when the primaries come to Pennsylvania. Clinton has her cronies in place and has an ax to grind, plus I despise the clintons more than osama/obama.

big mistake to vote for Oboma. I have read a lot about him. As bad a Liberal is Hillary, Oboma would make her look like a conservative. I have a sick feeling about Oboma. I fear one of the first things he would do is order ALL troops out of Iraq. He wants nothing more than to see us lose in Iraq. Hillary would be smart enough to not lose Iraq and the WOT.

go below and read about Oboma, it is very scary.

http://www.freedomsenemies.com/_more/obama.htm

I implore anyone crossing over to vote, to vote for Hillary. Oboma will have a 45 state romp of McCain and take that as a mandate to pull out of Iraq. This guy is much more dangerous than Hillary. I am thinking about our Brave Warriors. Oboma would relish losing the WOT.

I intend to vote for Hillary in the primary, as Hussein Obama scares me. I think he would a serious danger to this country in both the national security and economic areas.

In the general, I’ll hold my nose and vote for McCain.

"She is the only beatable Democrat."

The reality is, McCain is the only candidate who cannot win against virtually anybody. The only positive outcome I can see from this mess (And it is scant, at best) is to keep the Clintons in the private sector. Romney might have been able to do it and I would have been comfortable with the gamble but McCain?? No way IMO.

I could never change to a Democrat. I would have to disinfect myself.

I will keep you posted! So far people are calling in saying this will be their plan.

Don’t have such a narrow vision of wanting the “ Clintons gone” as to vote for Obama. You may be wishing Hillary in office is a Muslim gets control of our country!!!!

I can’t believe I am hearing freepers say that they will vote for Hillary.

If you want to protest McCain, vote for Huckabee or Ron Paul

He’s so left he won’t be able to get anything done.

Sure with his 60 Dems Senators and 10 RINO’s...sure. Keep telling yourself that. I guess it makes you feel better. If Republicans had a safe majority than I can see having Obama as no big deal, but we are not in the majority and will lose seats this election especially with Dems so driven. It is very dangerous. First day, Obama will sign an executive order bringing the troops home. While he is at it, he will have gays fully included in the military and Boy scouts. That is just the first day. Hillary will not try this as it did not work with her husband. She saw how her husband failed on these types of measures and she is not about to do that...now if she gets second four year she will try, but by then we should have made our Republicans Senate majority again.

“Please vote for Hillary. She is the only beatable Democrat.”

Since there are ONLY Democrats left in the running for 2008. I don;t think we’re gonna beat them

Step # 1: Eliminate the Clintons and Obama is the guy to do it. I can’t see Hillary as VP and neither will Obama offer it to her.

Someone please answer me this, How does Hillary losing the nomination of her party, destroy her political future?. Many people have come back after losing the nomination in one political cycle, to win it later on. I mean, Reagan? Hello!?!

It seems to me that usually, once a person is beaten in the Presidential election, THEN he is toast. I say we face the Clintons NOW, and DEFEAT them, once and for all. We CAN beat Hillary, we WILL NOT defeat Obama. The Cult of Obama, while he is a nice if not GREAT guy, is dangerous. Here we are, about to elect the most inexperienced guy ever to be President, all because he inspires, he such a nice guy, he is charismatic. That is what I find DANGEROUS. His campaign must be defeated.

TO YOU AND ANYONE ELSE THINKING OF VOTING FOR OBAMA - PLEASE DON’T!!

Hillary, if elected, would enjoy no honeymoon. She would be viewed as an intensely partisan polarizing figure. Obama is currently being elevated to sainthood. Unless you think that will change (and it might but I wouldn’t bet on it) he would enter the White House with a bipartisan glow that will be very difficult to deal with.

For the same reason, Hillary would be easier to beat in the general election, at least as of now.

If you are going to vote strategically, it makes sense to vote for her. Don’t be fooled or lulled by this “nice guy” BS. He is a dagger aimed at our freedom, both economically and militarily.

“Obama is worse than Clinton. There is no Clinton cult.”

I have to agree with this. Hillary has high negatives. Obama has become this messianic cult figure to people under 30. People over 30 don’t seem to care for him as much. I keep expecting to see these young, naive teenager and twentysomethings kneeling at Obama’s feet, begging forgiveness for their sins....it’s starting to get a little creepy, actually.

I say vote for Ron Paul. All things considered, he’s no crazier than the rest!

Maybe this should be Paul's new campaign slogan. ;)
