Well shoot fire and save matches, there are a lot of “Road Houses and BOYB” saloons that have women of the night working the crowd. What’s so different about “smokehouses””

Sure! And making it illegal just adds a bit of spice to it.

Secret Nightclubs, Gay Bath houses, What’s the difference? Other than you probably won’t get AIDS at the nightclubs.

“Women of the “night, morning, noon and afternoon” for the most part are not “driven” to do the dasterdly deed of prostitution,”

Please explain the need for hundred of thousands of sex slaves around the world then?

You’re deluding yourself.

Yah I see your point.

As long as the “adults” involved are consenting.

Gay bath houses though I don’t think that is paying for prostitution.

I am not know for sure but don’t you just pay a fee to get in and then two men go at it with no fee between the two.

And I don’t know about aids but there are alot of other STD’s some life threatning you can get in an illegal whore house.

Far as I am concerned it is a moral issue as long as children and women held against there will are not being used.

Those who listen to their moral compass ( which includes teachings and upbringing) won’t ever have the issue of being in a whore house volentarily.

I do believe this is harder for men than woman by human design.

“What’s the difference? Other than you probably won’t get AIDS at the nightclubs.”

Perhaps not, except for the druggies. There are plenty of other reasons to not have sex with someone who has had sex with hundred if not thousands of other people.

when I lived in NY we would got to after hours places all the time....no difference here and it ain’t new

My experience of after hours clubs (in Pa.) was that they were private and you had to join, although they had wide membership and were quasi-public. Anyway, it was a legal ploy and they were not speak-easys or underground joints.

Have the Nicotine Nazis never heard of Prohibition?

Banning booze made the Mafia rich and powerful, and did not stop drinking. When you force something underground, you create disrespect for the law, and get criminal elements involved.

Legalizing prostitution would result in more of it.

There are many men who never go this route for fear of being caught. Many are married.

Current laws may not stop prostitution, but they reduce it.

The resulting growth due to legalization would result in more and not less human trafficking.

Many people who strip and engage in prostitution are drug addicts. Many of them cannot face the reality of what they have done or what has been done to them, so they escape with drugs and alcohol.

Sometimes pimps promote addiction so as to exploit this ability to control the prostitutes.

If you want to reduce human trafficking, support stricter laws not legalization.

Also, this axis of evil includes sex trade, narcotics, and abortion. Most females who are trafficked are drugged and forced to have abortions of the resulting pregnancies.

Human trafficking is bad all over the world but is much more common in the US than most realize. Legalizing drugs, abortion and prostitution makes it easier to cover up all kinds of sexual abuse and exploitation including human trafficking.

It’s the Prohibition days all over again, and there are a few pinkos at the Freep we can also thank for it.

“Current laws may not stop prostitution, but they reduce it.”

True, like any law.

Laws against murder don’t stop murder. They reduce it.

Laws against shoplifting don’t stop shoplifting. They reduce it.

Laws against pot smoking don’t stop pot smoking. They reduce it.

And so on, and so on, and so on. Most of us do not want to live in a culture where people can legally sell their souls. (That’s how I view prostitution). If we make it illegal, we reduce it, and all the human suffering that goes with it. That’s what classic libertarians can’t go along with.

I KNOW prostitution will continue even if it’s illegal. But there will be less, a lot less if the law is well enforced.

"They have succeeded in creating this underground, sleazy, cash-only business that cannot be regulated, taxed or secured by police," said attorney Skip Lazzaro, who represents legal nightclubs.

Yep ..................... They'll close 'em down just like they did back during the first prohibition.

Good thing for the cops that these places are so hard to set up and get going, a couple cases of booze in the back door, $20 worth of plywood for the stage...

Yup, closing them is going to be *real* effective.

The point I was aiming for was that the police in Ohio immediately want to shut these clubs down while in other places they saw nothing about the politically correct, though deadly, bath houses.

“Where have you been driftdiver. Women of the “night, morning, noon and afternoon” for the most part are not “driven” to do the dasterdly deed of prostitution, they, for the most part know exactly what they are doing, it’s for the money, as for the johns, I don’t know, I treated only a few of them for injuries, not mentionable on this site.”

Frankly, I am of the opinion that hookers/prostitutes, enjoy their life, they like sex, and numerous partners...they get all the sex they can handle, and the money comes in handy to provide the car and a home....there numerous “escort” services, where the ladies advertise, clearly stating they enjoy having “you” over, at $xxx per hour...think of it...they have a guy that is hot to trot, and doesn’t want to get “married”, just wants sexual intercourse.....I once dated an ex-prostitute, she had a very high sexual appetite, that could never be appeased by one man...I basically saw nothing wrong with her approach
