My personal answer to McCain's and other's Global Warming and Carbon Footprint politics
10 Feb 2008 | Jeff Head

Posted on 02/10/2008 2:40:18 PM PST by Jeff Head

I thought I would put my own money where my mouth is in my opposition to McCain and other RINO/liberal asserttions regarding Global Warming, Global Climate Change, and a "reduced" carbon footprint.

So here it is, from Idaho and the rugged Intermountain West, my answer to Golbal Climate Change and a healthy carbon footprint:

Chevy 5.3L V8 Silverado, Crew Cab, Short Bed, 4X4, Z71 Off Road package, 18" custom wheels, HD Offroad Tires, Tow Package, and that "rumbling" Flow Master dual exhaust system.

Hmmm...seems to be working:

If you're like me, you pretty much see conservatism in terms of black and white.  You've voted for Republican candidates your whole life.  Over the years, while doing so, you have started to have concerns that the politicans you were voting for were becoming more and more leftist.  You stood by the party because not to do so would have been catastrophic to the nation you love.  For some strange reason the party felt compelled to assure you of that, even though it claimed it's candidates shared your views.

At varying points in time, we came to realize the party was no longer interested in the advancement of Conservatism.  It was interested on holding certain political positions, but the agenda it passed bore little connection to Conservatism.  Even when it held the majority of the Senate, the House and the White House, it failed to promote Conservatism while the sun shone.

Now we are faced with a situation this year that makes it abundantly clear, that just about every person of respect in the party, or at least the ones we had respected, have come to the conlusion that the standard bearer this year is one of us.  Only he isn't.

And now the time has come to acknowledge what the party is doing to conservatism.  Are we going to stand for his?  Isn't it time we put an end to it?

Isn't it time to face the reality and quit enabling this type of behavior, with our votes.

LOL, good one. The leather seats for PETA would have been an excellent finishing touch. But this was such a good deal for what it already had (it’s a 2005 with only 19,000 miles on it) I had to pick it up while I coul.

Here's my response to the global warming threads.

Please copy and post as much as possible!

Global warming will ease your hard drive. Not the data, but your actual hard drive! Not only that, but it will scramble any disks that are even close to your computer. It will recalibrate your refrigerator's coolness setting so all your ice cream goes melty. It will demagnetize the strips on all your credit cards, screw up the tracking on your television and use subspace field harmonics to scratch any CD's you try to play.

It will give your ex-girlfriend your new phone number. It will mix Kool-aid into your fishtank. It will drink all your beer and leave its socks out on the coffee table when there's company coming over. It will put a dead kitten in the back pocket of your good suit pants and hide your car keys when you are late for work.

Global warming will make you fall in love with a penguin. It will give you nightmares about circus midgets. It will pour sugar in your gas tank and shave off both your eyebrows while dating your girlfriend behind your back and billing the dinner and hotel room to your Discover card.

It will seduce your grandmother. It does not matter if she is dead, such is the power of Global warming, it reaches out beyond the grave to sully those things we hold most dear.

It moves your car randomly around parking lots so you can't find it. It will kick your dog. It will leave libidinous messages on your boss's voice mail in your voice! It is insidious and subtle. It is dangerous and terrifying to behold. It is also a rather interesting shade of mauve.

Global warming will give you Dutch Elm disease. It will leave the toilet seat up. It will make a batch of Methanphedime in your bathtub and then leave bacon cooking on the stove while it goes out to chase gradeschoolers with your new snowblower.

Listen to me. Global warming does not exist.

It cannot do anything to you. But I can. I am sending this message to everyone in the world. Tell your friends, tell your family. If anyone else bothers me with fearmongering concerning Global warming, I will turn hating them into a religion. I will do things to them that would make a horsehead in your bed look like Easter Sunday brunch.

The 5.3L get’s about 14 in town and 19-20 on the road...if I drive economically. If you get one with the 4.7L V8, it will get about 22 on the road.

Exactly..... I contacted every polidiot wannabe or incumbent running for the GOP and said my dollars and my vote are withheld until they pull their heads out of their asses and get back to running our republic vs this fallacy of a democracy they try and sell the sheeple........

No dollars, None of my time , and loss of my vote to all who will subvert the constitution and present themselves as no less than domestic enemies of these United states of America.......

We’re expecting a foot or two of global warming here tomorrow or the next day, along with some global warming-induced subzero temperatures. In fact, last month Iraq and Saudi Arabia got their own taste of global warming when snow fell from the sky for the first time in years! :)

They’re betting independents will offset us.

We’ll see...

IMO, most independents are little more than democrats too bashful to admit who they are. They’ll vote for the real thing versus some wanna be.

Thanks for the resposne.

Conservatives are actively seeking a valid third party.......seems it’s time for that to really happen.

Also note that albeit just a news report I heard this AM that only 23 or 27% of this nations eligible voters have done so during the primaries.........not sure of exact number, just that it was indeed less than 30%.

Sad, telling of a fast food society that just does not give a damn anymore. That attitude has to be fixed !

We’re heading up to E. WA later this week leaving our carbon footprints at the airport, depositing a few prints in the sky via XJet and then a rental in the Inland Empire leaving lotsa prints in the global warming cooling agent. Might even make a non-carbon footprint snowman if there’s enought gw cooling agent left on the ground. Haven’t done that since our young-uns were babes when we left that area.

You remember my Landcruiser right ?

Well I took a wreaked Dodge diesel that my lady insurance agent helped me locate and I am in the process of stuffing a 05 5.9L Cummings from that into the 1992 FJ80 Landcruiser........:o)

My shop looks like a disaster as I have stripped the FJ80 and am working out all the bugs searching the Internet for others gotchas in doing such and have almost got it done ! Lots of my engineer buddies and local mechanics are helping me as well and it’s gonna be very nice.

5.9L Dodge has a Bully dog Programmer set on extreme for 146 extra ponies above the store bought 325HP , an AFE cold air intake, and a 5 inch exhaust. Faster than I need it too be .....but fun to play with .

The FJ80 is getting a major refit and overhaul per se ......next time yer thru here I’ll let ya see em both for a road test !

I love the cummins engines .....not real happy with the wrappers they come in yet the Dodge SLT’s are fine cruisers.

Nice truck. Does it have the Black Lite undercarriage, the bouncy-bouncy air lift suspension, and the boom-boom speakers?
