I suspect they fear what will come out nearer the election which would make her unelectable or is that just our wishful thinking.

However having said that I have seen several clips even on UK TV of various comedy shows making quite cruel and cutting jokes and I guess this would get more intense nearer the election.

It is strange but people I do not normally think of as that interested in politics in Britain knew it was super
Tuesday are aware of the Obama and Clinton campaign even realised Romney was a Mormon and that McCain is in his 70s. For some reason I suspect the media and there love of digging the dirt has something to do with it but this election cycle is much more prominent in Britain than it has been for years. Dad says almost like the days when the Convention held more sway than rubber stamping as it has over the last few years.

I think the President is doing a good job deflecting questions from Wallace about our primary. Surprising, BUsh is defending Clinton (slick) claiming he is not a racist, like some are implying. You can bet your bottom dollar that Slick would never return such a complement.

LOL; Bush says he doesn’t know much about Barak except that he wants to embrace Achmadinjad and attack Pakistan!! And then laughs/smirks about it.

I have enormous respect for President Bush; he is a very principled man and a great leader. He continues to maintain being on the offense on the WOT is the correct approach. Now talking about FISA and how our candidates believe we should use intel to protect our people, while a large contingent of dems don’t want to protect our people.

I love how he always disses the polls, and I hate how the pundits put so much faith in them.

And how about Bush on Fox News Sunday practically endorsing McCain?

It is all about the Iraq War and the Bush legacy. Of course, it doesn't hurt that McCain shares Bush's views on amnesty. Bush also signed McCain-Feigold despite having constitutional reservations. He could have vetoed the bill and there were not enough votes in Congress to overturn it.

What happens if Clinton Inc loses? Do they quietly fade into the night?

First off, you know the Clintons won't lose. They have two big aces in the hole. One, the so-called super-delegates. Two, the Florida/Michigan delegates.

Here's a tidbit...last night I watch CNN for a bit. The host, don't know his name, mentioned that Donna Brazille said, on CNN I imagine as she is on Blitzer's show every day, that if the Clintons come out and steal this election away from the will of the people (ie suddenly make Florida count when Obama didn't even campaign there or bribe/blackmail the superdelegates) that SHE will quit the Democratic party.

Donna Brazille folks, you know her....Gore's buddy?

This is gonna be interesting. Got thoughts on the pubbie race...give me a minute.

Yep, and when I raised that possibility many weeks ago, I was considered an apostate.

Obama's a man of change, no doubt about it... but it's just "change" for the sake of changing things, regardless of the consequences. It's the typical mindset of the progressive. "Progress! Shut up and don't talk about the future, I want it now!"

Of course, Hillary's brand of change is this...

I will not be able to watch this until later but I suspect that Wallace is asking the questions and clever editing is ensuring that the President is endorsing McCain. As yet the race is not officially decided and I until it is the President I am sure will not officially endorse anyone.

Well I guess I’m one of those Freepers you mock and hey, maybe we deserve it. Enjoy your gloat.

But if Thompson endorsed McCain, which is news to me, then I guess we were fools, huh? McCain and Thompson shouldn’t even be in the same room as far as idealology goes.

On the other hand, a caller to a local talk show said that when talk of the elections came up in a barber shop where he was, and it was all Barack vs Hillary, he asked the others what they thought about the Republicans, and no one in the shop could name one Republican who is running!

Fred Thompson has become the latest former 2008 Republican presidential candidate to endorse John McCain: “This is no longer about past preferences or differences. It is about what is best for our country and for me that means that Republican should close ranks behind John McCain,” Thompson said in a statement reported by the Associated Press.
