Barack Obama might be the best speaker I ever heard

I wouldn't vote for this guy in a million years, but dang if he isn't inspirational. He's like a revival preacher. No wonder that the useful idiots vote for him. This guy is a friggin gold mine. He's an ambassador for.... well, for something. He gives the best political speeches I've heard in my whole life. Even better than Reagan. Of course I'd vote for Reagan a million times before I'd ever think about voting for Obama, but... this guy is good. Don't underestimate him.

Yeah, he is good at a speech, but vulnerable in a debate.
He cant think on his feet.

Smart kid. My daughter and I laughed about his commercial here — 30 seconds and not one word about how he could do anything he was talking about.

He has a very good presence and is like able, but has no substance to his speeches.

Sorry, but Limbaugh is the best. There is no better speaker on Earth.. especially when he is on fire.

The problem is that if he gets the White House, the American people (or the majority) will follow him to hell and back - and that’s likely where he’ll take us.

It is a long way to the convention. Do not underestimate
Hillary and her people to do everything possible to prevent Obama from getting the nomination. She fights dirty and as do the people around her.

I understand and didn’t mean to offend.

I’m as frustrated as anybody over what a bunch of brain-dead, putative Republicans have brought us to in this election cycle. The best we can come up with is presumptive nominee John Mccain, a RINO who, until tonight has not received more than about 35% in any of the Republican Primaries?

Give me a break - This is insane. :-)

I don’t think so. Rush is good. Rush reads a lot of his stuff on the air. Huckabee and Obama appear to speak from the heart (Huck’s preaching career probably propels him into the spot he is as a speaker). John McCain is an AWFUL speaker (reading tele-prompter now....) and Hillary is Sybil as a speaker. One minute it is shrill - Oh - I - can’t- stand-the-thought-of-this-annoying-voice-for-4-years Hillary. Next, there is thoughtful soft Hillary (her crying jig voice). Then there is Hillary trying to sound black or southern - neither one of which she does well.

Huck and Obama are the best speakers in the race. Only one of the two has any Executive branch experience or values worth voting for.

This guy is a good speaker too but got no traction when he ran for President, for some reason. I think Obama is all fabricated hype and certainly not of the Reaganesque stature.

I find the cadence creepy. He also speaks with his chin and nose pointed up. That and the cadence is creepy. Not natural. I think people are nuts to think him a great speaker. No so.

Obama could be a psychopath

He has sociopathic tendencies, which any leftwinger has to have to be successful. But Obama is really more of a committed marxist totalitarian who never has questioned the slime he absorbed from the filth that raised, educated, and continues to mentor him.

Obama delenda est.

You’re exactly right. They’re listening to a song- that to them- is irresistable. It succeeds precisely because it the content lacks substance. To understand the phenomenal rise in his popularity- we have to remember how the Desm FEEL ;) at this point in their history..and realize he is tapping their deep frustration. He’s offering them a way out- using words and phrases that make them FEEL they are part of a bloodless revolution.

I saw Mr. Clinton one time. He was a heckuva speaker, too. Didn’t mean he could walk the walk, though.

I’m a bit surprised that the obvious appeal of Obama has not been recognized. He does not seem to be a hater. Hillary is a hater. We have our share of them too.

I’m old enough to remember when politicians could disagree, but could still respect each other.

I find Obama refreshing. I can’t support him, in the same way I couldn’t support Hubert Humphrey, but to me, he is likeable.

Harry Truman was treated as badly as President Bush, but history sees it differently, as I suspect President Bush will be seen differently.

Folks, we have a two party system. We can get in it or out of it.

Either way, our votes, and our failure to vote, count exactly the same. Failure to vote puts a vote in the other person’s column.

He bowed his head, thought a moment and said, “Nothing much. But he sure got my attention!”

Absolutely. Heard a clip in the car today with my son, and we noted the same thing. A lot of flowery, inspirational gobbledy gook with absolutely no substance at all. But, if you're ruled by emotion and how someone or something makes you "feel", vs. paying attention to and analyzing what they're really saying, you'll see through it. Given today's feel-good, mindless, dumbed down electorate, I guess that means we're screwed.

"Barack Obama might be the best speaker I ever heard"

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

You have to be careful with those 'silver tongued devils'...
A 'good speaker' tripped up our first parents, and we've been digging through the thorns, weeds, and tears ever since...

Focus on content - and not subtlety or smoothness.
