It's not over yet! With Huck's Kansas win and if he gets Romney's and Paul's delegates he could still have a shot. McCain needs 1191 and he's got 719.
I think Huck can win Louisiana today and Virginia Tuesday - he could get some momentum by March's Texas primary where he clearly could win.
Huck may not be a perfect conservative but I have studied his career and he is MUCH more conservative than McCain. Two critical issues are that he is Pro-LIFE and he wants to abolish the IRS. Great stuff.
It’s too late. It’s over.
I WILL NOT VOTE HUCKABEE!!!!
Great, Huckabee instead of McCain. Or maybe Obama or Hillary. Just shoot me.
Freep-mail me to get on or off my pro-life and Catholic List:
Please ping me to note-worthy Pro-Life or Catholic threads, or other threads of interest.
Huckabee is more conservative than McCain. Those are our 2 choices. We can stop McCain!
LOL, the man from Hope. Been there, Seen that.
I an disgusted enough that I will now have to vote for John McCain, but I will never, ever vote for Mike Huckabee. I would vote for Hillary Clinton before I vote for Mike Huckabee.
It’s over.
My sentiments exactly. This is just so F***ed Up.
LOL!!!Love your style.
Sorry. No sale. As bad as McCain is, Huckabee is much worse.
Why?
Mathematically, you may be on track, but the American people, and the Republican primary voters, are notoriously poor at simple arithmetic. Even if there were a mathematical chance, the anti-McPain people are too demoralized to seize the initiative.
Huckabee is on a fools mission.
Party establishment in LA and VA supports McPain.
As Jim Robinson posted earlier, the strategy should be to vote for anyone but McCain, to deny him the number of delegates needed for nomination. That sets up a delegate fight at the convention, where a real conservative — yes, even Fred — could emerge as the nominee. It’s a sound idea, I think.
Hope I paraphrased okay, Jim.
Why would anyone want the one worse candidate than McCain? Huckabee is as or more liberal, and completely clueless on foreign affairs.
..no matter how it turns out, it is notable that this vote happened AFTER McCain’s speech at CPAC—apparently Kansas voters didn’t think he made his case...
vote Hillary in their primaries
