“I’m confuse, CNN says there is a Primany in Wash on the 19th for the Republicans? Is this a LA thing?”

50% of the delegates are assigned from todays vote, and the other 50% from the Primary on the 19th

I will note that Fraudoire is now (quietly) on record as supporting the former.

The primary is on the 19th - most counties now have absentee voting. However, the cacuses are today at 1 pm. Go to the King County or WA state Repbulicans site find your caucus location.

The Primary votes will allocate 51% of the delegates and the caucuses will allocate 49% of the delegates.

I am still debating on whether I will go. I think I will, but I am bitter mabout my candidate. WAH! I caucus in Duvall, anyone else?

Go! We have several FReepers in Duvall. And forget the primary, if you must -- become a delegate to the county convention (as I and LibreOuMort intend also). We can't take back the state party if we sit at home stewing.

I’ll be very surprised if everyone at the caucus is not herded into supporting MacMexico.

It won't -- and what does it matter? It's pretty much a done deal.

But that's not the only reason to go to the caucus. Sit this one out and the lib wing of the party will drive this fall's elections.

I keep asking myself what’s the point?

Because the caucus is about a whole lot more than the primary, NavyCanDo.

OK, I’ll go and caucus for Mitt even if I’m alone in my own little corner in my own little chair.

I’m still caucasing for Mitt and they can suck on it if they don’t like it.

I don't much like Mitt, though I applaud the form of his bowing out, but... good for you!

My understanding is that delegates are chosen in part in today's caucuses, part by ballot on the 19th.

Agreed.

BTW, I saw something on soundpolitics.com this a.m.:

McCain in Seattle - 2nd comment:

2. I was at Boeing Field today taking pictures of their planes (plane spotting is my hobby). Hillary and Obama both chartered ATA Boeing 737-800’s while John McCain, not a big fan of Boeing, chartered a jetBlue Airbus A320.

+++++++
Which prompted me to sign-up on McCain’s blog and post this:

Dear Senator McCain,
I am posting to this thread as I didn’t find one for the Senator’s Seattle trip.

I, like many other conservative Republicans, have not decided yet if I’ll vote for you or not. It’s one thing to reach across the aisle, and quite another to side so strongly with Democrats on issues that many of us think that you’ve taken the liberal, rather than a conservative position. To name only one, while you say you’ll secure the borders first, you’ve yet to say that you will not support amnesty for illegals (therefore, we can only surmise that you’ll agree to secure the borders, then try to push your original bill through). I’m posting here for a different issue, however, at this time.

While I suspect you will think you do not need to take advice from a private citizen, I’m writing to you in hopes that you will get with your advisers and have them do some research (if they, for some reason, are not aware of the obvious) before you campaign in a city. For full disclosure, I do not work for Boeing, but have friends that do, and I’ve not discussed this with them. Clinton and Obama flew into Seattle yesterday on Boeing planes. You flew in on an Airbus - - - -to Boeing Field, no less. That would be like you and your staff running around Seattle or Redmond (home of Microsoft) with Apple computers loaded with Linux software, instead of laptops using Windows Vista and Office, or, drinking Nestle coffee (headquarters Switzerland) outside Starbucks headquarters (also in Seattle). Whether you like Boeing or not (I’ve read reports you do not), this is Seattle and Boeing is a huge employer here and brings a lot of revenue into the city and the state. There are a lot of military and commercial organizations and individuals worldwide that think that Boeing is the best plane manufacturer there is. Regardless of how you feel about Boeing, perhaps next time you fly into Seattle or Washington State, your advisers won’t be so culturally insensitive (in this case it was more like brain dead) and assure that you do so on a Boeing plane, a Gulf Stream jet, or anything besides Airbus.

I had planned to go, but with Romney out of the game, I see it as pointless.

Go anyway! It's far from pointless -- this isn't the only thing on the table. Become a delegate to your district/county convention. Skip the caucus and you're dead out of the game.

“What do the polls say about Hussein v The Beast?”

Obama got the far biggest crowd at his lovefest at the Key Arena, an impressive 13,000 with more turned away at the door. The news did not mention how many turned out for Hillary, but with the tight camera shots I am guessing it was pretty small. Hillary did however get more endorsements from Washington notable Democrats than Obama.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that Hillary gets the nomination. I can see something happening with Obama that scares me to death. My wife a life long Republican from a strong Republican family has somewhat been taken in by Obamas charisma. Yikes!

“Hillary and Obama both chartered ATA Boeing 737-800’s while John McCain, not a big fan of Boeing, chartered a jetBlue Airbus A320.”

Not a good way for the killer of the Boeing Tanker deal and possibly the 767 Line to make an entrance.
