On Thursday's "Tucker" on MSNBC, David Shuster, who was serving as guest-host of the program, made a comment about Chelsea Clinton and the Clinton campaign that was irresponsible and inappropriate. Shuster, who apologized this morning on MSNBC and will again this evening, has been suspended from appearing on all NBC News broadcasts, other than to make his apology. He has also extended an apology to the Clinton family. NBC News takes these matters seriously, and offers our sincere regrets to the Clintons for the remarks.

Dignified and holier than thou statement coming up.

As a father and grandfather of female persons,an observer of the scene- may I be permitted to say this?

Chelsea Clinton seems like a nice young woman. So do each of the two daughters of George W Bush. I believe it is likely that and such a fine woman as Laura Bush, would not even think of the two girls being used. Chelsea has little control over what ever it is Hilary expects.

I am going to regret this..... Chelsea is the one thing that reflects credit on Hilary.

Flame retardant suit on.

Hilliary threatened to pull out of the network’s upcoming debate. Therefore, the network shook in their boots and bowed down to her by suspending Shuster.

There’s nothing a Clinton likes doing than playing a victim. They are SO thin skinned.

“Pimped out” means something very different to people born in my generation than Senator Clinton’s.

That is true, but I don't think there's much room to argue that Schuster's comment was some generation-gap miscommunication. The discussion was on Chelsea making phone calls to line up superdelegates, and the full quote was: "Doesn’t it seem like Chelsea’s sort of being pimped out in some weird sort of way?”

In that context, I don't think there's much way to argue which sense of "pimped out" was intended. There is no way you'll convince me, or many folks, that it was meant to imply that her wardrobe is gaudy.

The potrait of Clinton looks like the cover of a porn film.

Come hither look. Casually crossed ankles. Hand diddling something in his pocket.

Yep. A real presidential bearing has Bill.

So MSNBC suspends Shuster for his 'pimped out' comment about Chelsea, but everyone just yawned when Joe Scarborough commented that Jeri Thompson looked like she 'worked the pole'?

Right, no bias there.

I suspect they got the same (ahem) reprimand that Erin Burnett received when referring to the President of the United States as the "monkey in the middle". Talk about deserving a suspension!

Is there any doubt that absolutely nothing would have happened if his remarks had been directed toward Bush’s daughters?

If someone had said on air that the Bush daughters were being "pimped out" in their 2004 campaign efforts and convention appearance, the person who said it would have caught holy hell.
