This is demographic fact, not soccer moms. Divorced women with children replace the gov’t for their erstwhile spouse. It is still women who primarily want to make a marriage work and try to stick it out, and men who stray to greener pastures. That’s changing some, as more women are getting out of marriages than in the olden days when they couldn’t as easily leave a bad marriage. However, it still is predominantly the men who split. So, women look to gov’t for their support. Married women do not.
Therefore single or divorced women with children will vote Dem, and married women will predominantly vote Pub. The percentage of single women is increasing, so the odds favor the Dems. Almost all the single women I know with kids, with rare exceptions, favor the Dem Party. Where else would someone except them to go? They will go somewhere that they can get more perks and financial benefits. It’s human nature.
We need to strengthen marriage, which won’t be easy to do, as the system is now stacked against it. It’s part of the Dems’ plans to weaken the family structure. I’m not sure there is a good answer to this phenomenon. The country may be too far gone. It would help if more men would stick around in a marriage at least until the children are grown. (some Women too). Would be much better for our society as a whole.

Divorce statistics do not back up this claim. I believe women initiate divorce proceedings in around 70 to 80% of the cases.
Actually, women initiate divorces more often than men - something like 70%, I recall reading. Otherwise, I agree with your post.
However, we should note that the problem with marriage is not just divorce, it's more and more women having babies without ever getting married. There is little or no social stigma anymore attached to having illegimate children in most sectors of society. The women want children more than they want a husband, and they don't need a husband to support the family.

Stats show that 70% of the time it is women who file for divorce. And the majority of those are for “irreconcilable differences”, not marital infidelity.
Your anecdotal or personal data might be different from that but those are the facts.
That is a very profound observation. If you are saying that divorced women replace their spouses with government? This is what they are taught or more accurately, what they have been indoctrinated to think and do. The more reliance on government the more socialism will flourish. Was that not the plan? Strong men of character and honor, who are self-reliant, are the natural enemy of American Socialism, that is no longer, just creeping.
My lovely first ex, a major Dem, said that government and welfare are used “to control women. We want them UNDER OUT THUMB.” Dems do not want to help women, they want to CONTROL them. Many women regardless of thir marriage status, do not want to work. I always said the Dems were the Donkey Plantation. hite men were the slavemasters, minorities, and especially women, ARE THE SLAVES. They don’t get it.
With the gov’t there as a backstop,
women don’t have to be as choosy about the man that they make kids with,
and men don’t have to be as high in character in order to obtain a mate (and sex).

can’t even say that. there’s alot of “single” women out there, taking advantage of the system in every way. on the gov’t teat, popping out kids to get even more gov’t aid and child support.. all while actually being supported by the live-in boyfriend- living in every way as husband and wife, except without the piece of paper, in order to continue the lazy lifestyle they’ve become used to.
Sorry...but I think the statistics are that women initiate divorce, by 65%
In my little corner of the world it’s about 8-1 women leaving.
Odd, the Women’s Movement proclaimed women’s independence, etc. but most still want to be ‘kept’. They want that security.
Either by a man or the government.
The Dim Party promises them that security.
Last statistic I heard 75% of divorces are initiated by women, including my own.
