Are there any Freepers who support John McCain?

If you support Mr. McCain, can you make the case for your man?

Can you make the case without bringing up the War?

Can you make the case without bringing up Judges?

Can you make the case without using any ACU ratings? (Those don't impress anybody.)

Can you make the case without insults or telling people to "calm down"?

Can you make the case without the type of lying and dishonesty we've come to expect from John McCain and his special friend Mike Huckabee?

Can you make the case without trashing Barack Obama?

Can you make the case without using Hillary Rodham Clinton as some kind of boogyman or boogyperson?

Can you?

The ball is in your court.

Yes, there are FReepers like me who support him (he’s my third choice), but I guess you have made your own McCain Feingold to restrict my speech so I can’t give you my main reasons.

(cough) WAR ON TERROR (cough)

For the first time in a long time I’m glad I live in the socialist state of Maryland. Since it’s going to go for Hillary or Obama anyway, I don’t have to vote for McNasty. I can sit back and let everybody else pick whatever poison I’m going to have to live with. Then I can blame everybody else for whoever wins. :)

Benedict Arnold was a war hero too.

Face it fellow conservatives, we've lost the White House. Fall back to your secondary defensive positions (Congress) and take it back! Hold the line against whichever liberal p.o.s. gets in, it's our best shot now IMHO.

Sounds like you’re asking if we can make the case without making the case.

LOL! Great line.

Of that candidates left in the race, McCain is the most conservative candidate left. He has a lifetime American Conservative Rating of 83.

McCain supports our military and our “War on Terror”. He will continue to take the fight to the AlQuada and Bin Laden terrorists so that they can not regroup and attack us here again.

McCain comes from a long military line with an exemplary history. Both is father and grandfather were 4 star admirals. McCain served admirably during the Vietnam war as a fighter pilot.

McCain has served as the Senator of Arizona for many, many years and is experienced and knowledgeable in the workings of our government. He will make a fine President.

McCain has shown that he can work with both sides of the aisle to build a consensus on a position to solve key problems facing this nation.

If I think I can make a case for McCain, I’ll do so after I have a chance to fully research it.

It won’t be nearly as easy as making a case for Romney.

For now, I can say this — there are a few people I have respect for who have vouched for him. not much to go on.

I’m a Huckabee supporter. And I’m not going to play along in this troll of a thread.

FYI...Reagan supported Ford in 1976 after losing the nomination to him. And, I’m sure he voted for Ford as well.

Well I feel betrayed as a conservative. A couple of conservative friends at the CPAC told me that Romney gave a great speech...and that McCain (believe it or not) won over some of the crowd. They suggested I watch the replay on cspan. I do not like the guy and he will have to make some real serious overtures to conservatives before I even consider voting for him...I want to hear tax cuts both personal and corporate, illegal immigration, fighting WOT and putting conservative judges on SC....if he does this and I believe him to be serious , then I will POSSIBLY CONSIDER voting for him against the liberal dregs...but his eye gouging of the conservatives won’t be forgotten with one speech.

"but I personally don’t think he will get through 1 term."

McKane as a Trojan Horse for conservatives, while making the liberals think he is a Trojan horse for them? Interesting.

My vote depends on his VP. Let’s be real - he’s 72 and probably had a lot of stress as a POW. If he mavs out on the VP and selects some ultra-liberal - no voty here.

There’s not going to be any GOP majority anywhere if people don’t get out and vote for Johnny. So maybe you need to rethink your strategy.

He’s gonna be the nominee. So I guess my choices are McCain, the democrat or a third party. If McCain chooses a reasonably good VP and doesn’t screw up too badly before November, then I’ll vote for him. If he chooses someone like Huckabee, then I’ll vote third party. I’m going to have to hold my nose pretty tightly to vote for McCain. The thought of Huckabee being his anointed successor just makes me want to barf.

“I will support any Republican, even a RINO, which I’m not saying McCain is, over about any Democrat, and certainly over Osamy and Hitlery.

Shame on the rest of you dreamers who won’t be voting.

Thanks a hell of a lot for electing the Democrats this fall.”

Is your post an attempt to try to attract voters to McCain?

Sho’ nuff! I am voting for him because he reminds me of Ike (Who wasn’t a hard-line “conservative” either)!
