Are there any Freepers who support John McCain?

If you support Mr. McCain, can you make the case for your man?

Can you make the case without bringing up the War?

Can you make the case without bringing up Judges?

Can you make the case without using any ACU ratings? (Those don't impress anybody.)

Can you make the case without insults or telling people to "calm down"?

Can you make the case without the type of lying and dishonesty we've come to expect from John McCain and his special friend Mike Huckabee?

Can you make the case without trashing Barack Obama?

Can you make the case without using Hillary Rodham Clinton as some kind of boogyman or boogyperson?

Can you?

The ball is in your court.

I wouldn’t vote for that lying s.o.b if he picked Jesus Christ as Vice-President.

I truly believe that this election cycle was manipulated.

It was rigged!

I’m noticing a real “Shut Up And Vote McCain” attitude from the McCainaphiles and it’s not particularly attractive.

That “attitude” oozed from many Republicans during the McCain/Kennedy Amnesty push and the “Gang of Seven” backstabbing of conservative SCOTUS nominees. Combine that with McCain's disdain for tax-cuts, his support of Global Warming initiatives, an anti-Gitmo/anti-waterboarding position... and McCain leads the new “Bob Michel on Steroids” movement in the GOP.

What's worse is that if he secures the White House... he will get initial support from ALL elected Republicans. Instead of a loony Dem president with a butcher knife running AT YOU... we get a crazy, old uncle sidling up behind us with a shotgun.

Shame on the rest of you dreamers who won’t be voting.

Shame on the RNC for moving to the left and running candidates I can't vote for. It is because of that reason only we will have a socialist in the oval office.

If the RNC ever gets around to running a conservative candidate, I'll consider getting back on the bandwagon.

I am a lifelong Republican from a rural area. I plant to get behind my party’s candidate. There is more to like about McCain than to dislike. I have never had a candidate who was a perfect “clone” of my beliefs. I have to respect the years that McCain served in the Senate. In order to get anything done he had to compromise and deal with the liberals...which by the way....for most legislative bodies...is the way it works. My husband served in Viet Nam. We both respect McCain’s service and sacrifice there. I have a son in the military. I feel that McCain is my best hope for my son. You see, Iraq will be over soon, no matter who gets elected. McCain will leave the war planning to the generals, not the news media or polls. For the safety of our kids in uniform, I feel McCain is a better choice.Because even though people think someone else will get us out faster, I think McCain will not get us into another protracted war. He’s been through it personally Colin Powell was a general, and he was against a protracted war. Most generals feel the same way. When the politics gets out of this war, it will end swiftly...without CNN getting photo-ops. Even though McCain said we would have a presence for many years, I take that to mean a “base” in the region. I like what McCain said about the AMT and Bush tax cuts. I agree that we should shut the border, lock it down...and then see what we are dealing with and solve it then. I support McCain. I don’t claim to have all the answers and respect his life experiences so much that I think he will do what is right on all issues. By the way, I have read both of Obama’s books. There is a HUGE difference in intellect illustrated when comparing to the drivel in “It takes a Village.” If he loses the nomination, the Dem party will implode from within. There is no comparison between these 2 candidates. I expect Ms. Pantsuit and the First Felon to go into the smoke filled back rooms to cut a deal. That is my prediction.

I plan to use my vote in the most effective possible way to stop the Muslim and the Clinton - it’s a bitter pill, but I will swallow voting for the grinning RINO.

The time is getting short. An English pastor has said England is about to go under Sharia law. There’s still time to stop them here, if we trash Political Correctness. PC gained the Muslims what their armies were unable to accomplish in the Middle Ages: the takeover of Europe. The chief weapon? Political Correctness.

Hillary is a devil; Obama is a Muslim and McCain is merely an idiot.

That’s right. With McCain in office, we can at least hope and pray. With Hillary or Hussein in the President’s chair, we will have to flee to the hills.

Sorry. Not gonna do it.
Hillary the bogeyman is not enough.
At least with her as Potus the GOP congressmen won’t feel the need to “reach out” which will be the constant pressure put on them from a McCain Whitehouse. Nope in the long run it will be better for the Party and the Nation for McCain to lose.

In order to get anything done he had to compromise and deal with the liberals..

That kind of thinking drives me nuts, no offense.

With critical issues like immigration and global warming, it is better to do nothing than to screw things up worse by signing on to more destructive Democratic solutions.

Tell me what benefit we would have gotten out of McCain's "compromise" on illegal immigration.

Or on global warming?

The only issue where you could make that argument is his gang-of-14 deal... which got us two good judges but ALSO put off limits a bunch of other good and decent judges.

Are you ever really sure with Liddy? I suspect so but it seemed more like he needed a sound bite which he apparently stole from
Bennett.

Shame on the RNC for moving to the left and running candidates I can't vote for.

It wasn't the RNC that voted out there.

It was Republican voters who, like that old cliche, allowed the perfect to become the enemy of the good.

We had a good and decent and attractive conservative candidate with Mitt Romney, yet so many intolerant conservatives hated Mormons.... or so hated the fact he was successful and wealthy, that they didn't get onboard until the final weeks and days.

Duncan (love him dearly) was an unlikable candidate and never had a chance.

Fred was too frail, and didn't even want the dang thing.

Huckabee would be an unmitigated disaster with his Christian-or-die approach to governing.

Guiliani: unacceptable, no need to 'splain.

Paul: nutso.

Again, if people had just accepted the obvious, Mitt Romney would have been supported from the get-go.
