I wanted to tell you personally about a conversation that I had with Senator McCain earlier today before his CPAC speech.
In this time of war and economic uncertainty, America must have strong, principled leadership. The first and foremost priority of the federal government is National Security, and, we must have a President who will do what is needed to protect America and the American people. It is imperative that we have a Commander in Chief who will not bow to pressure when the political waters become rough. As a fellow member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, I have witnessed John McCains principled leadership on critical national security issues.
I, like most of you, am deeply concerned with wasteful and excessive Washington spending, and I have also worked side by side with John McCain taking on special interests and fighting the tough battles on behalf of the American taxpayer. While it is true that we have had some principled disagreements on some issues, including certain areas of immigration reform, John McCain is a man of principle and conviction. He shares my deep commitment to reaching a comprehensive solution to immigration reform and I look forward to working with him on this issue when he is President.
With the recent decision by a number of the other candidates to step aside, now is the time for the Republican Party to come together and stand behind Senator McCain. For these reasons, I am honored to endorse him for President of the United States today and will do whatever I can to support his candidacy.
Sincerely, John Cornyn
Beleive me they dont carry a suitcase around with a little button on it and the president himself can not push a button *L*
again your repeating rumors and hearsay. the same thing we all hate about the liberals you are doing
It’s a troll.
I call it close because alot of Texans and Arizonans are from Tennessee.
It certainly is revealing, isn't it? These are politicians. They care about achieving and holding power above all else. There are only a few rare exceptions.
There’s no harm in endorsing McCain at this point if you’re a politician. He’s going to be the nominee.
You don’t want to piss off the nominee in the unlikely event that he wins.
are you bald?
It was also in Independence day when the former drunk pilot almost shot off a missile while on the ground roll.
What a shocker! McCain fought against his amendment and wants terrorists in this country.
That is one of my main concerns with McCain. That and a fear he will support embryonic stem cell.
He's not the best on taxes, etc. but I think he will be persuaded.
I certainly can't say I like McCain much overall, but he is far, FAR superior to the Demoncrats and I will vote for him if he is the GOP candidate.
My thought also. The fix was in. MSM wanted McCain and so did the amnesty lobby and Democrats. McCain’s nomination would take the illegal aliens issue and the lack of experience off the table.
................................. Wow.
You dont want to piss off the nominee in the unlikely event that he wins.
Why the Hell not?
McCain has made a career of doing just that and Bush himself will endorse this clown.
When I was a lot younger I worked in Texas. We’d go into the little towns and raise hell. Those Scots-Irish boys were always up for a good clean fight. They were tough sonsaguns.
It’s a pickup line. Do you drive an F-150 or a Silverado?
Bush will endorse McCain. When was the last President who didn’t endorse the nominee?
Way to go, Sen. Cornyn.
To thank you, John McCain just called—and told you to “F#$k off!”
More Republican Stockholm syndrome.
Exactly my point.
I had an Illegal start rabbit punching me in a bar in Chandler. He knocked my Tennessee hat off in the process. He was quick. He was also in alot of trouble that he couldn’t handle.
What are the rules in Arizona if he does that? (Re: Tagline)
Sorry, no. Nobody has to endorse anybody, and that is a fine tradition, as well.
That’s a given. We are talking about someone that chose to make an endorsement not someone who chose to remain on the side lines.
