WIN the war is NOT a democrat position! He will win it.

The GOP will have to learn the hard way that running an old uninspiring cadaver as the standard bearer for the Republican Party will not inspire the masses. His speech probably would sound more inspiring and believable if we could read it rather than hear McLame mouth it.
Now that I'm hearing McCain, he's even more boring than Dole was.
To: BubbaBasher
I heard it. I also heard him say he’s a conservative.
I guess if Ted Kennedy is a conservative, he’s right.

I'm probably the only one on this thread that thinks his speech is Reaganesque

Going for the cheap applause now.
Earmarks total about $30 billion of a $3 TRILLION budget. Sure, there’s waste, but also so good local projects. But this little coward keeps flapping his gums about earmarks, 1/1000th of the budget(or is it 1/10,000?). Eliminate them all and you’ve done very little.
It’s entitlements, interest on the (growing) debt, and the military where the big money is. What’s you plan, Juan?

Didn’t he just say recently that he wouldn’t appoint (or didn’t approve of) judges like Alito who wear their conservatism on their sleeves?

They’re chanting his name in enthusiasm? WHO ARE THESE MORONS and what do they use for brains??!
To: Williams; joebuck
Maybe..just maybe...this angry, stubborn, self-important, old hairy biscuit ...will git ‘er done.
He has a lot of scores to settle - grudge matches etc.,
We shall see.
Good speech... if only he can match reality to rhetoric.

No I suspect Rush and the Conservatives will simply ignore McCain and focus on Hillary/Obama. I doubt they will actually speak out against McCain but I doubt they will also speak for McCain.

Get real, will you? The folks at CPAC paid a lot of $$ to be there and support the conservative cause.
That said, there are a fair amount of college students for McCain around, as there were for Romney until a few hours ago.

“Im at CPAC right now and can assure you that the majority of those in that room are not bused-in McCain supporters but folks who waited quite some time in security lines to watch this.”
I knew that but alot of other folks don’t seem to believe it. Denial dies a slow, hard death.

I like what Im hearing. It's a good speech. I would be enjoying it a lot more without that constant, fake, overdone applause by the bussed-in McCain operatives.
