Interesting that McCain declined to speak there last year. One of his major lies is that he is a Conservative. There are many different types of Conservatives, and McCain fits none of them. He more the Manchurian Cadidate than he is acceptable to Reagan.

No conservative or semi conservative would every vote like McCain on amnesty. McCain even voted against barring terrorists from US. This is insane.

MSM and amnesty lobby must be gloating in that they are able to force their candidate on the GOP. This will encourage them to keep doing it.

The CPAC site does not list either Romney’s name or McCain’s, but it does have Cheney’s speech at 11 and Ron Paul’s at 4:30.

Maybe there’s been some last-minute reshuffling.

The liberals are setting up conservatives with this CPAC diversion. McCain will say all kinds of nice things, and they’ll all proclaim that he did what he had to do, and Seanrushgraham, will oooh and ahhhh.

And everyone will proclaim John McCain a conservative.

That’s the way it works. All sleight of hand, total lack of substance.

Perhaps CPAC itself has integrity and will respond to such foolishness with a hearty, “Hell, no, he isn’t a conservative; and neither are Romnabortion and Huckillegal.”

Some of it will be fluff- you’re right. At the same time- many of us seem to be digging in our heels..settling in for a fight.

Will someone at CPAC please stick this in McCain's face? Let's see his reaction.

Thanks for the thread, Mom. Thrilled that Mitt speaks during Rush...perhaps he’ll play some highlights. Did you hear how McCain will be introduced by Reagan?

Maybe somebody should ask Queeg about this:

When Soros was looking for a vehicle to bring this scheme to fruition, who was standing with his hand extended? Senator John McCain. And, richly rewarded he was. During the 2000 political season John McCain and Russ Feingold attended the two so-called ‘Shadow Conventions’ that Soros sponsored. McCain, who is desperately attempting to retain his false title of ‘Republican’, was the keynote speaker at the ultra-liberal Philadelphia convention while Feingold spoke at the Los Angeles event. Low and behold, in 2001, John McCain founded the Reform Institute largely funded by a huge donation from George Soros’ Open Society Institute and his Tides Foundation.

I would not be surprised if McCain comes on directly after Cheney.

The last time I attended CPAC when Cheney spoke, the line was out the door. They limited the number of people allowed in to 300/400.

The security was very, very, tight. We went through metal detectors, they had dogs checking us out, and all electronic equipment you took in, (eg digital cameras, cell phones) was checked.

I suspect they want the same kind of security given he is presently the top candidate.

Our local morning talk show man, Ben Fergerson is broadcasting this morning from C-PAC.

He is NOT a McCain man, so it will be interesting to hear what he has to say about the whole affair.

If I were there, I would ask McCain one simple thing:

Please name a liberal Democrat that you have attacked as viciously as you have attacked Senators Mitch McConnell, Thad Cochran, Pete Domenici, Chuck Grassley, or Governor Mitt Romney.

CSPAN.org is using real audio stream for CPAC :(. I can only watch if it’s on one of the media player channels. (stupid work lockout).
