Dallas hospital room where JFK died now stored in Kansas
Odd move closes artifacts to public, may add to mystery

A piece of JFK assassination history now lies buried in the most unlikely of places: a former limestone quarry in Kansas.
It is the end at least for now in the long and sometimes strange journey of Parkland Memorial Hospital Trauma Room No. 1, where President John F. Kennedy died on Nov. 22, 1963.
The entire room was purchased by the federal government 35 years ago, when Parkland officials decided to modernize their emergency facilities.

Actually, it does make some sense. After Lincoln died people walked off with just about the entire room where he took his last breath. Stuff ended up being sold to the highest bidder, including bloodied clothing and linens.
Pretty morbid stuff there.

No, it's just that a lot of us are tired of explaining to the conspiracy minded that what they think they saw on the film is not what they really saw. It old, old old, and like the 9-11 Truthers, facts are no deterrent to the grand conspiracy industry.
WHY wouldn’t they give it to the Smithsonian or something? Ford’s Theater is open for visitors.
It is creepy, in a way, but it also makes a lot of sense. The KC metro is number 1 in the world for cold storage and this is the perfect use for it.
I know. I used to have my old business files there until we got a farm. Now they’re in the barn. I wasn’t allowed to go get the files myself and I think that they were just stacked in a huge warehouse, like the one in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
