"Fasten your seat belts...
As moderate and conservative pro-choice Republicans are we happy with the results of the Florida primary? Yes and no.
Our first choice, Rudy Giuliani, did not win. He ran a campaign with a risky strategy and it didn't work. But our number two choice did win...John McCain. McCain came in second in a survey of our membership.
While he is personally "pro life" he has time and again reached out and worked with people across the spectrum. We know we can work with him to create common ground that will allow moderates and conservatives to come together to rebuild the GOP.
RFC joins with Rudy Giuliani in asking our supporters to consider McCain as they go to vote over the next few weeks.
John is a true American hero with strong and consistent values. He will provide the leadership that will rebuild America's confidence in itself and among our allies worldwide.
And John McCain's election will be a strong message to our enemies...you don't mess with John McCain, he can and will go the distance!"

"Hyde, who has criticized McCain for advocating weakening of the Republican Party's pro-life platform plank.
Pro-abortion leaders also see a big difference. Following McCain's win in the New Hampshire primary, the Republican Pro-Choice Coalition said that based on exit polls, "pro-choice Republicans overwhelmingly preferred McCain above all the other candidates."'

I found out about this on Laura Ingraham’s show.
Rudy could have won if he'd wanted to. He didn't really want to win.
The time to bury McCain was 5 months ago when he was floundering around and broke and at 11% in the polls. So what did the stupid party do? They ran for every other conceivable non conservative candidate. ‘You get what you deserve’ is true, more often than not.
Anyone surprised?
For the record, McCain has been endorsed EVERY election by Right to Life.
He also has the endrosement of at least two past presidents of Right to Life.
Republicans for choice? This can’t be real group.
Time will tell how well the moderate elites manage their victory over America... Hillary can no longer call the Republican Party a ‘vast right wing conspiracy’...
Republicans for Choice. Which Republicans are these? are they the liberal wing of the family or is this something the media created?
Where is Minute Girl? She’s been waiting all day!
Somebody who knows HTML...ping her please!
I don’t know how.... sombuddy halp me!!
Re read he article.
Even way back, the Republican Party RINOs gave Ronald Reagan a hard time.
Educate yourself.
“For the record, McCain has been endorsed EVERY election by Right to Life.”
Guess it was one of those “lesser evils” things, or else they didn’t know what’s in my posts.
“Anyone surprised?”
The people who do their research aren’t surprised.
McCain probably became popular with them when he, and 3 other libs went all the way to the Supreme Court to deny the Wisconsin Right to Life the ability to speak out prior to the elections.
Used it to protect his “my friend” Russ Feingold.
Judge Alito wrote the decision which McCain and his lib buddies lost.
Probably a reason McCain hates Alito. McCain is a grudge holder.
Thanks, I thought that’s what the truth was.
“Republicans for Choice. Which Republicans are these? are they the liberal wing of the family or is this something the media created?”
I heard Laura Ingraham say on her radio show today that Republicans for “Choice” endorsed John McCain, so it sounds as if Laura heard of them before.
You can listen to Laura say it yourself, I THINK the 2nd half hour of her show, when wabcradio.com does the Ingraham replay, starting at 10 p.m. ET.
“McCain probably became popular with them when he, and 3 other libs went all the way to the Supreme Court to deny the Wisconsin Right to Life the ability to speak out prior to the elections.”
That was terrible. Laura Ingraham wrote about that in her new book: “Power to the People” and talked about it on her radio show. I think Mark Levin also covered it.
Sorry.. didn’t mean to offend. This came up earlier today on the Rush thread, Minute Gal couldn’t find the article .
I was trying to help her clarify a different issue.
Tuck your fists back in.
My brain frame was on a completely different issue, I just wanted Minute Gal to see the second thread after searching.
Relax.
