He argues that her more coercive approach would once again be a political death knell. No Republican will support it. Red state Democrats will face impossible pressures at home...

And that is why Clintoon could do more for the GOP in 4 years than McRino could do in a lifetime. IMO

“He argues that her more coercive approach would once again be a political death knell. No Republican will support it. Red state Democrats will face impossible pressures at home. It’s smarter to begin by offering people affordable access to coverage and evolve from there”.

See, it’s not really a disagreement about the ends, just the strategy and the wisdom of placing Hillary in charge. They’re afraid they might be picking the wrong General to conduct the campaign.

So, Hillary is vicious, mean and vindictive.

It looks like we'll be running one of those, too.

“And she’s done it even though she hasn’t answered legitimate questions about how she would enforce her universal coverage mandate.”

Insightful.

~snip~

Cooper told her that she was getting pulled too far to the left. He warned that her plan would never get through Congress. Clinton’s response, Cooper now says, was: “We’ll crush you. You’ll wish you never mentioned this to me.”

She’s been an outstanding senator. ............ For which state? NY lost industry and jobs since she was elected, and where are all those high paying jobs she was going to bring NY? Suckers!

The first paragraph is pure barf alert. She hung through the dark days of Iraq war in 2005? This guy is a huge liar.

“Hillary’s approach is so absolutist, draconian and intolerant, it means a replay of 1993.”

And she knows where every lost hair McCain has ever shed landed.... McCain has earned his match up time will tell if he has what it takes.

“We’ll crush you. You’ll wish you never mentioned this to me.”

Maybe McCain is the only one mean enough to take her on.

Not really related, but I have two Jim Cooper stories:

I met Jim Cooper at some event in Mt. Juliet when he was running to get his seat back. I was standing at a booth set up by the local Republican group, of which I was a member. I turned around and Cooper was there with his hand stuck out. I shook it and said, gesturing at the Republican sign, "you realize I won't vote for you?" He just smiled, said "thats ok", and moved on. Seemed nice enough.

The other thing is about his air travel plans. Contrast Sheila Jackson Lee, who threw a fit when she couldn't get a free upgrade to 1st class, with Jim Cooper, who I happened to notice waiting for the same flight to D.C. as me, on Southwest Airlines. He went through the cattle call same as everyone else.

This is old,old news.

So Hillary is a beyatch. And a Marxist. And cold. and calculating. And a shrew. And a criminal.

We told everyone this for the last 15 years. No one wants to hear it. Books have been written about her, ad nauseum.

And to defend the Republic, the GOP wants to run John McCrazy?

People get the government they deserve.

And they are about to get it in spades.

Ignore the first paragraph. Watch how many don't.

Here is the sentence that interested me:

But there are certain moments when her dark side emerges and threatens to undo the good she is trying to achieve.

Which good was that?

If the Clintons get back in power, they will flood the country with illegals, the future source of voting monopoly for the Democrats. Will this be the end of the two-party system?

A defter politician would have reached out to Cooper and made an attempt to address the concerns he represents.

She is only deft in one ear. And there is alwys Ft. Marcy Park.
