Endorsing Mclame, is that like a flip-flop?
“I was reading FR long before I started posting “....as a DUmmie?
I miss Fred :(
I am not voting for a greedy, lying opportunist who will bring disgrace on Christianity.
Just the fact that he thought he was entitled to $70,000 in government furniture when he left office indicates he is just another Clinton.
Bump
Blow it out your ear.
Fred did not “owe” anyone an endorsement, especially people he obviously has no respect for.
Romney wouldn’t know the truth if it bit him on the nose.
I don’t hate Huckabee, either. I like his pro-life and pro-family stances, and he is strong on guns, BUT he is definitely a big government kind of guy who wants to open are borders and bring terrorists to Leavenworth (as an example). His lack of foreign policy cred is also a little worrisome, though if he picked someone like Hunter for a VP, I could go with that.
To read the posts on the LIVE thread last night, anybody who didn’t support Romney is some sort of mental midget or religious bigot. The hatred for Huck was almost unreal. It was all his fault Romney wasn’t running away with Super Tuesday. Uh huh.
Romney supporters don’t seem to get that regardless of how beautiful he and his family are, or whatever his religion may be, or how brilliant he is with financial matters, some people just don’t LIKE Romney. He comes across as too slick, too rehearsed. I have heard that many times.
**sigh** I miss Fred.
Man, you got that right. I’ll bet the talking heads in the MSM are just sittin’ back, puffin’ stogies, and ROFLTAO at us right about now.
Yeah, Fred was too old. He wasn't pretty enough. What a bunch of dolts. Now we have old Crankypants McCain--who hates us. We have old AND unstable. Waaaay to go, GOP!
We know that McManiac and Romney are both lobbying FRed real hard for an endorsement. If FRed sees the party as split badly, he might consider endorsing one of them.
I think that Romney has been beaten up pretty good on flipping, and being left of Conservatives. I also think he’s smart enough to realize this is his chance to make his mark and create a legacy that erases his past. If he can convince FRed of that, my money would be on an endorsement for him rather than McShamnesty.
Thank you!
(New Mexico Republican primary is not until JUNE; I will still vote Fred.)
Endorse Romney??!
Sorry, Romney is a transparent fake, probably worse than McCain.
Romney’s “conversion” to conservatism after 35+ years being a liberal puke (including GIVING MONEY to Planned Parenthood) is a transparent lie to anyone with half a brain.
I wouldn’t cross the street to piss on Romney if he was on fire.
Or the Hugh Hewitts who beat down any conservative running so that Romney could emerge from the pack as the conservative choice, only to have very few people believe that he is actually conservative.
It will be a looong time before I listen to Hewitt again, and I used to listen faithfully.
I'd have yanked that lever for FRed! in a New York minute wasn't on my ballot card... so I went for the lesser of all the other weevils and pulled for Mitt.
McCain just doesn't do it for me at all... but since he all but has the nomination in the bag at this point, I hope he at the very least chooses a hard right conservative VP who can kick him in his armor-plated rear end with good effect.
Someone like Jeff Sessions or Tim Pawlenty, perhaps... who might give him what he needs to have a chance against either the Hildabeest or Imam Obama.
My husband and I were part of that number too :) I didn’t know for sure who he was voting for, so I was pleasantly surprised when he told me later.
Looking at the statistics this morning, it appears Fred got 1% of the vote. Not a lot, but he did as well as he did in New Hampshire when he was still in the race.
I, too, wanted to vote for what I believe in, not against the most objectionable. I’ll have a decision to make come November, but I can feel good about standing up for my principles. Primaries are a time to make your voice heard, even if it doesn’t count for much on paper.
FredHead here!
thanks, for the ping. bean :/
Thanks for posting this.
What has happened is disheartening, but we can take solace in doing the right thing and voting our conscience. We must continue to hold our nation up in prayer. Sometimes we have to go through a valley in order to see what’s really important.
I have noticed this in my own personal life. Sometimes it took bad circumstances to bring me to a place of dependence on God. Perhaps it must be the same with our nation.
