I think the issues that Southerns care about most are pro-guns, pro-traditional values, and pro-life.
Huckabee has been correct on those issues far a long long time. He has never been pro-abortion, pro-gun control, or pro-gay rights. That matters to people
That is the reason he did well in the South.

Super Tuesday Scorecard
McCain - OK (41), NY (101), DE (18), NJ (52), CT (30), IL (70), AZ (53)
Huckabee - AR (35), AL (48), WV (30), TN (55), GA (72)
Romney - UT (36), MA (43), ND (26), ?MT (25), ?MN (41)
? - Leading Caucus, but hasn't won yet. Could lose if McCain-Huck team up again.
NOTE: The number in (##) represents Total number of delegates for the state, not the number won.
Despite all the gloom and doom on Romney, McCain is still far from being able to win the nomination.

I think people must have been tired of the McCain-Romney sniping and went to the ‘other guy’

Sounds good. Where does Huckabee plan to cut government?
Otherwise, expect more of the same.

Huckabee is 100% on guns. Romney would be a luke-warm candidate anyway. Gather provisions men!

read my tagline.
'FairTax' is a scam that will end up taking 100% of your income ans giving you a monthly stipend from government.

He also came out strong for homeschoolers. For the sake of the above issues, we cast our votes for him here in NJ. Of course, we're in "south" Jersey. :-)

...or get it past a Dem Congress. Heck, a Repub Congress for that matter. Anybody can be for anything but be relatively innocuous if ineffective.

That will never happen. McCain/Huckabee is far more likely.

Yet, if you listen to the media only JM has won anything and he has won the nomination. The BBC announced that JM is the nominee.

Great. So we know that McCain and Romney are getting thier votes from states that are going to vote Democrat in November, while Huckabee is actually drawing from the states which have been loyally Republican.
This is unsettling.
