But at least you know where he stands on things. He’s honorable. He doesn’t flip-flop, and he is pro-Israel and pro-war on terror.

McCain and Hillary are flip-floppers and stab people in the back.

All 3 are the same on all the issues, except Clinton will pull out of Iraq soon.

Oh that’s because the Republican who ran for the US Senate from CT couldn’t beat the Dem. Its all about local politics.

Being strong on WOT alone does not a conservative make.

That applies equally as well to McCain.

He is NOT a social conservative. Pro-gay, pro-abort, anti-gun, etc.

Not a fan, although he is better than his predecessor, UBER-RINO Lowell Weicker.

In other words, “your” Lord is a self-hating jew.

Lord Kerry (who by the way served in Viet Nam)?

I had a feeling McCain would win but i didn’t think the margin would be as much as 10%!

“be laughing until 2012 at your “victory””

I wonder if he’s ever figured out exactly what it was that Ned Lamont “Won”?

No one knows what really went
on behind the scenes, and if
that wasn’t Bush’s strategy
for the next two in the first
place.

What about Rush's 15-20 million listeners, Hannity's 8-13 million, Savage's 8-12 million, etc, etc, are these fabricated numbers?

Good question.

"Keep your theological arguments in your temples, please!"

Buzz off. I'll make my arguments where I please. I've got an idea - you vote for the reasons important to you and I'll vote for the reasons important to me.

Or were you suggesting that conservatives just abandon their principles altogether?

This cycle has been dominated by single-issue "conservatives" who gleefully purge and bash one another over minor variations over some principle or other. It has made conservatism look very trivial. Certainly we have stopped being the generators of ideas, and become slogan-slingers. Conservatives really aren't putting out much in the way of thoughtful, practical ideas these days.

And also, conservatives have done very, very little to make a convincing case on just about anything -- whether it's same-sex marriage, or support for the war, or immigration, or pretty much any issue you want to name. They've simply stood around touting their "conservative principles," without explaining why they're good or important.

I think illegal immigration ends up being THE single issue that makes self-described conservatives look most like a group of loons: the over-the-top rhetoric of the "build the wall NOW" crowd has led to those folks crapping their own beds. At least, that's what I would guess is driving the California results.

Where do you get that? Last I checked he was the opposite on the abortion/gay marriage issue, but that was 8 years ago.

I think the McCain campaign heavily relies upon the poor memory of the electorate.
