LIVE THREAD II
Im too bitter about what might have been.
***You’re the one who told me not to be bitter. We’re both in the same boat now, bitter that a conservative didn’t win.
1John tells us there are many antichrists.
I doubt it. The machine in Missouri is better practiced than the one in Florida was. They'll find just enough for McCain.
“Romney was pro choice six years ago. Maybe you all need to be a bit more informed and not be led so blindly.”
Oh, and we pro-lifers never have anyone coming into our flock from the other side. (Sarcasm there)
But Romney has admitted he was wrong to have once held that position and he’s admitted it OUT IN THE OPEN.
McLame and Huckaphony just change positions on various issues and then DENY that they’ve changed positions. (maybe abortion’s next, who knows? McCain is as close as flint with the libs...)
Msnbc just call Minnesota for Romney!
Oh stop.
“I am a Reformed Baptist,”
“Excellent denomination. Hat’s off to you”
Jesus would be so proud.
GO MITT!
Do you still live in a free country? Any bombs go off lately? Any planes blow up or fly into buildings? He needs to build the darn fence but you have not had it that bad these last 7 years.
Woohoo!
I’ve lived in Missouri 45 years.
McCain’s wins in all states are tracking very closely to Democratic returns...he is winning in urban areas with moderates and independents. And, Missouri was an open ballot state. The Dems CAN vote in the Republican primary. There is no registration.
Huckabee did well in the rural areas. McCain is doing well in the urban areas, which report last.
Amen!
ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEAS ABOUT ROMNEY RUNNING AS AN INDEPENDENT (if he doesn’t get the nomination)?
Would he stand a chance?
After all, there are NINE MONTHS between February 5th until November 4th... In politics, a lot can happen between now and then.
A key McCain meltdown would do the trick. McSnake will also be 9 months older by then and will be showing his age.
Furthermore, the Evil Huckabee will NO DOUBT have withdrawn by then and given his delegates to McSlime. So in a general election, some of his conservative base would shift to Romney once they gain more understanding of McSlime.
Comments?
You make too much sense for this crowd.
All that tells you is that (like almost every friggin other state in the nation), the Democrats are energizing their base to get out to vote. Look at any of the results from any state. If Romney only got 3 votes in Missouri and McCain got 5 and Huckabee got 4, and Hillary got 30, you cannot pretend that McCain or Huckabee would do "so much better" against Hillary. Your logic is unbelievable.
California is the line in the sand, eh?
California
Candidate Votes Percent
Mike Huckabee (Rep) 16,766 12.6 %
Duncan Hunter (Rep) 547 0.4 %
Alan Keyes (Rep) 568 0.4 %
Sam Brownback (Rep) 88 0.0 %
John H. Cox (Rep) 114 0.0 %
Rudy Giuliani (Rep) 12,432 9.4 %
John McCain (Rep) 57,737 43.3 %
Ron Paul (Rep) 5,251 3.9 %
Mitt Romney (Rep) 33,550 25.2 %
Tom Tancredo (Rep) 167 0.1 %
Fred Thompson (Rep) 6,139 4.7 %
I am curious why you think that somehow Mr. Romney’s religious freedom would be violated if someone considered his beliefs while deciding whether to vote for him. This sounds like the sort of Orwellian “tolerance” definition the democrats expound to me. If voter X consults his own conscience in deciding how to vote, he violates someone else’s religious freedom? How would Mr. Romney’s freedom to follow his conscience be violated by voter X?
