the amount of ice surrounding Antarctica is now at the highest level ever measured for this time of the year

Don't confuse the global warmers with the facts.

Remember, John McCain wants to INCREASE YOUR GAS TAX because of Global Warming.

Somebody post that picture of John with his sign....

I’m going to start an Ice Offset Trading company. For every $100 you send me to assuage your evil ice-generating ways, I’ll put one ice cube in my wife’s drink.

Greenland is beginning to reverse the trend and freeze again, as well.

there is nearly 30% more ice down in Antarctica than usual for this time of the year.

Thats definitely evidence of something going on and its important to raise taxes on corporations to either stop it or keep it going.

It’s not “global warming” anymore. I got the memo... it’s “climate change”.

The global warming Jihotis usually say this is a compensation by mother earth for the global warming, a short term, regional extreme response to cool down the planet; only a temporay blip in our slow meltdown into oblivion.

<sarc Like DUDE . . . the reason there’s so MUCH ice in the water around Antarctica now is because of GLOBAL WARMING. The glaciers are melting and LIKE really LARGE icebergs are breaking off and falling INTO the ocean faster than ever before MAN ! ! ! </sarc

Um are snow pack in Oregon in the Cascades is 500% (around) and in the Coast Range 300% (around) the weather man and official weather center are very worried about flooding and predicting 25 inches of water from melting snow.

Bigger flooding than the last run off in 1996 when ten inches of water was the run off.

How about the rest of ya’lls snow pack and run off estimates.

All of us have been talking about back when we had El Nina and it was like warm San Diego perfect weather all winter long.

Been freezing icey winters and no summers every since then.

30% more ice huh?

According to my Gorean climate-ice-seacoast level formula, done in reverse: that means that water levels should have receded by 30 feet throughout this entire fragile planet, and that the Polar Bear’s habitat will extend into Scotland.

Compare this raw MODIS view on 1/31/2008 with the processed MODIS image from a Larsen B collapse sequence on 1/31/2002.

In the raw 2008 view, move the bars a little below and right of center to see a newly forming Larsen A ! It had collapsed previously and in the 2002 image it shows as open water to the north of the peninsula ( or island chain ) which separates Larsen A from Larsen B ( when they exist. )

The Larsen B embayment has heavy sea ice in the 2008 image, but has not formed into a shelf.

Of course, there's no guarantee that this refreezing trend will continue, but it certainly seems to contradict the prediction of run-away or accelerating melting.

No mystery here. Congress just passed tougher CAFE standards. Amazing how fast they kicked in.

For the “climate change” cultists, this is easily rectified. They’ll ignore it. This heresy doesn’t fit the narrative.

“Don’t confuse the global warmers with the facts.”

You really can’t. If you want to see an example of people who’ve bought lock, stock and barrel into a cult the global warming crowd is it.

They can’t explain global warming in their own words. It is always regurgitation of a website of some “scientist”. When the “scientist” is showed to be a paid environmental hack it doesn’t dissuade these people.

They’ll just ignore any factual data you present. For me it all comes down to one thing: They can’t predict the weather two weeks from now so they can’t predict it fifty years from now. Weather is the major determinant of climate so the argument of weather being different from climate is axed.

But it doesn’t matter. These people will continue on with these childish fantasies because they believe that a screwy light bulb can affect the gross energy of three billion plus cubic miles of atmosphere.

priceless...absolutely priceless...

no doubt they will spin this as proof of climate change...

i cannot remember recently which anti global warming scientist said we were actually about to hit a cooling period (natural one) and that all this hype was unfounded...looks like he might be right...

Optimistic prediction: Senator or Prez. McCain will admit he was wrong before others. (Well, at least before AlGore!)
