Former Governor George Deukmejian Endorses John McCain

, VA -- U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today announced that former California Governor George Deukmejian has endorsed John McCain for president.

"John McCain understands the gravity of the challenges our country is facing," said Governor Deukmejian. "His lifetime of service has prepared him to lead as commander in chief from day one. John McCain has a commonsense conservative plan to stimulate our economy by lowering taxes, reforming our health care system, and ending the wasteful spending in Washington. I have a great deal of faith in him, and I know that John McCain will serve our nation well as president."

John McCain thanked Governor Deukmejian for his support, saying, "I am grateful to George for his support. He devoted his life to serving others, and I am honored that he would choose to join us as we work towards victory on Tuesday."

Governor George Deukmejian was born and raised in New York. He earned his law degree from St. John's University and practiced law before joining the U.S. Army. After his service overseas, Deukmejian founded a law practice in Southern California. Prior to being elected Governor, Deukmejian served as a State Assemblyman, State Senator, and Attorney General.

Mike Huckabee picked up a glowing character endorsement today.

From CBS Evening News, Feb. 4, 2008.

“Mike Huckabee has been subjected to the millions of dollars of attack ads by Mitt Romney.....I think He’s a very good and decent man and I admire him. And I admire his humor and I think he’s elevated the entire presidential debate and campaign.”

That was the answer given when Katie Couric asked what the shortcomings of Huckabee were. The answer was quite the contrast to the same question about Mitt Romney. And who was giving this praise to Huck?

JOHN McCAIN! He went on to attack Romney with the usual unqualified sound bites and insulted Rick Santorum as a ‘defeated candidate’ who had no right to question his temper.

One-On-One With ‘08 Candidates Katie Couric speaks candidly with Democratic presidential hopefuls Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, and Republican candidates Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, and John McCain.

Wouldn’t vote for the little back stabber of dog catcher. On second thought he’s to old for that as well.

McAmnesty has the reverse Midas touch. Anyone that touches him loses value.

Ignore away!

Anybody who is voting for McCrazy is a traitor to conservatives.

McCrazy, if he became President, will grant amnesty and destroy the GOP, along with the country.

I apologize for an emotional reply. For those who have read my previous posts know that I am an Iraqi vet, having flown over 200 hrs combat flying in a Blackhawk unit, the 189th Montana Blackhawk Unit from The Montana Natioal guard in Helena Mt. I flew with the greatest crew in the world.. I have been there and done that so to speak and I have to put my input in to voting for a Rebublican who is first and for most pro-life and pro military. In listening to the Democrats, Hillary when asked if she wants to win the war answers with I want to pull the troops out and God knows what Obama would do. I know that if a Democrat is elected all of the sacrifices of our troops in Iraq would go down the tubes. I am a Catholic and wear the same Cross around my neck that I wore on missions in Iraq even though I was told it would cost my life if we were downed. As a military guy I have to say that a vote for a Democrat would demean the guys I fought and flew with. Please consider the value of your vote. Vote for McCain!!!=============

I would rather scrub woodwork than to do anything to elect that petty, mean, Napolionic man.

My oh my! Look! Here’s another feature for the
Mc ANTIQUE ROAD SHOW!

Why, what we have here is a dusty “Deukmajian”, in a somewhat comromised condition, blemished with a
“sell-out “ stamp on its underside.

Want us to tell you what its worth?

Nothing. It won’t sell here.

Has Gov. Moonbeam endorsed anyone on the Democrat side? I don’t recall him being much of a Bill Clinton fan so I doubt he’s eager for Bill to get a third term.
