Ew. The race is on, so to speak.

Great, then they are ranked 47th best if you think the U.S. Constitution is worth a damn.

Under the state law, the first of its kind in the nation, police can seek a warrant if their investigation reveals a person poses an "imminent risk of harm" and they believe there is no alternative to confiscation to avert the threat.![](http://imagecache2.allposters.com/images/pic/152/500586~Minority-Report-Posters.jpg)

I guess a perfect score would require internment camps for those who like guns.
To: LurkedLongEnough
And where exactly do they rank in the commission of violent crimes? Forget, for a minute, the commission of crimes committed with guns.

Constitution State my a@%!
Funny thing, these states are at the top of my list of places not to live.

Was this from Pravda or a allied newspaper? Putin is probably creaming in his jeans reading how safe CT, NJ, and Mass are.

I suspect the grading system is skewed by ignorance. As I recall, CT pretty much bans select-fire weapons being owned by private citizens. IOW, you can have fully automatic weapons as long as you can’t choose single-fire.

Interesting statistics...
Robbery per 100,000 people: Connecticut - 121; Mississippi - 107; Virginia - 101.

“Strengthening neighborhood policing will help control illegal guns.”
Sounds like anonymous “snitch” 1-800 numbers aren’t too far away (they’ve had ‘em in D.C. since 1976).
Nor are neighborhood block “watch” committees, either (Cuba, anyone?).
Spying on your neighbors or just “dropping a dime” on someone you don’t like (a fine old Soviet tradition, being revived by the current regime).
So glad I live in the disgusting, decadent, gun-toting socially backward South.
Sarah Brady, why, she can’t stand the likes of us’ns, sho’ nuff.

Well, from this and other posts tonight, it appears the criminal fascist syndicate occupying Washington is about to declare war on everyone who’s not them. We’ll see how it turns out.

Err... I moved from NJ to CT for work reasons. CT isn’t exactly Texas, but it’s heads and shoulders above NJ from a gun-right’s proponent’s point-of-view.
