As top Republican presidential contenders John McCain and Mitt Romney head into tomorrow's mega-primary in New York and 20 other states, a question hangs over the GOP contest: Is it all over but for the voting?
Two major national opinion polls released yesterday found McCain now has twice as much support among GOP voters as Romney, with Mike Huckabee coming in third and Ron Paul trailing behind.
Several other recent local polls find McCain leads in most of the states that will hold contests tomorrow except two - Massachusetts and Utah, which represent Romney's home state and base. McCain also takes a slight lead in delegates - 93 to Romney's 77 - into tomorrow's Super Primary, but he appears assured a majority of the 1,081 up for grabs at day's end, most analysts said.

“Is she high? She would have to be really drugged to live with that nasty old coot.”

Someone I know who lived in Arizona, said McCain’s wfie, Cindy, had a dependence problem with prescription drugs. She said it was common knowledge in Arizona.
IF McCain wins the primaries..he will NOT win the General.
They’re fairly good at keep it up-to-date. I think their map at the top might actually be more up than their charts.
It appears that Romney is closing to me. The problem is that McCain’s lead is so large. His name recognition is huge.
Don't feel bad. Ours isn't until April.
When mitt wins... that POS will be out of a job!

No, he won’t win the general. He is an abomination to conservatives and the Republican Party.
Imo, McCain isn’t the coming of the antichrist.
I don’t see has any worse than Romney or Huck. I’ve always considered them liberals, and I still consider them liberals.
If I can vote one one of the 3 stooges, then I can vote for the other. If I can’t, then I’ll: (1) write-in, (2) jump parties, (3) stay home.
The 3 remaining each have virtues that make them better than Clinton/Obama.
IF McCain wins the primaries..he will NOT win the General.

...and of course they will blame the conservatives for the loss. lol *nurses shot of whiskey*
Last night we got an automated phone poll that asked our first and second choices in the Republican primary March 4 (Texas). The choices were Romney, McCain, and Paul. Interestingly, the Huckster wasn’t included. I punched the numbers for Mitt Romney #1 and Ron Paul #2 and the poll ended saying it was paid for by the McCain folks.
Tends to confirm to me there is some kind of unpublicized alliance between McCain and Huckabee for Huck to serve as a spoiler in the primaries. This seems to be quite a coordinated effort to get McCain the nomination.
WHAT?!
If Huckabee is his running mate I will definitely not be voting the top of the ticket on election day. The Republican party, which is quite obviously supporting McQueeg, will never receive another $ from me.
IMHO there are 3 keys for Romney:
Win the winner take all state of Missouri.
Win (even by 1%) California.
Get his total delegate count(including the ones he already has) to 500 while keeping McCains totals to stay in the 600’s. (601-699).
701 to 399 looks horrible
699-501 looks like a two man race.
When he called our house, hubby stopped it as soon as it came in so he wouldn’t have to see me go grand mal.
Agreed...even 450 would be passable IMHO.
We’ll do our best to bring MO into Mitt’s totals.
:)

Hubris.
Doesn’t matter to me anyway: I’ve chosen Romney and I think I’ve made the right choice.
No way will I vote for McAmnesty.
Sorry, I can't truck with that kind of liberal, even if (or especially because) he has an 'R' by his name.
Who? Michael Steele? I doubt Mitt would do that.
The establishment Republicans can take a hike. They are in the tank for McAmnesty, too.
You may as well ask why Chappaquiddick Teddy keeps getting re-elected.
Yeah...and they once said that Democrats wouldn't elect a Catholic. Remember the 1960 election by any chance?
