Hillary Clinton cries in Connecticut (On Drudge)
Swamp Politics ^ | Feb. 04, 2008 | by Jason George

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Sen. Hillary Clinton teared up this morning at an event at the Yale Child Study Center, where she worked while in law school in the early 1970s.

A doctor, who was introducing Clinton, began to choke up, leading Clinton's eyes to fill with tears, which she wiped out of her left eye. At the time, the doctor was saying how proud he was that sheepskin-coat, bell-bottom-wearing young woman he met in 1972 was now running for president.

"Well, I said I would not tear up; already we're not exactly on the path," Clinton said with emotion after the introduction.

Clinton is holding a roundtable discussion with Connecticut women to talk about childcare and healthcare.

When Clinton got misty-eyed at an event in New Hampshire on Jan. 7, politicos and pundits filled hours discussing if it helped her, and Clinton eventually pointed to the moment as when she "found her voice" and turned the corner in the Granite State.

At the time, there was much debate if the candidate's emotional response to a question -- "How do you do it?"" -- was genuine or calculated.

Let the conversation begin again...

At this rate, she’s going to cry herself OUT of the nomination. Bad strategy, Hill.

worked in NH, why not now?

Tangentially-related joke:

Q: Why does Bill Clinton cry during sex?
A: The pepper spray burns his eyes.

She’s already played the tears card, I hope voters will see through this and dump her. Who knows though.

You can bet these tears were more calculated than Deep Blue’s next move against Kasparov.

The first time a lot of folks questioned whether her tears were phony. Now everyone knows they are. At least, you would hope.

In fact, she would probably kill Bill if she thought it would gain her more votes than she would lose....There. Fixed it.

I hope she cries again and again. Each time will reveal her weaknesses. There will come a time when people realize she is not strong enough to be president.

Yes, leading up to 911, the Klinton administration was pardoning terrorists instead of fighting them.

I am going to cry too if that happens.

I have to disagree somewhat.

The airheads go for that kind of crap.

Doesn’t matter if she is a big commie loving liberal who will eventually take most of their paycheck for the gobberment, she is being picked on by the big bad male dominated media.

Her role model, Eleanor Roosevelt, never cried in public.

But she only cries on the eve of an election that is questionable if she is going to win or not. Unfortunately, voters in the Dem. party may not make that connection. Hopefully, they will.

Sen. Clinton nodded her head slightly and smiled.

Just when I think I have reached my capacity for hating that woman, she comes along and inspires me to reach for more!

Democratic presidential hopeful, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., gets emmotional as she speaks about her time as a volunteer at the Yale Child Study Center, Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, in New Haven, Conn., during a round table discussion. Clinton volunteered at the center while she was a law student at Yale in the 1970's. (AP Photo/Elise Amendola)

Once again...This is not a crying event. There is no tragedy. There is no loss. It’s merely self-adulation. (Is that the right word??)

Saw her on Fox News Sunday yesterday. Mr. Inspectorette commented on the fact that her eyebrows are veering dangerously into Pelosi territory.
