Romney could lock this thing up if he only leaked that Fred will be his VP. It would be over and McCain would have to quickly assemlbe a viable powerhouse VP. I bet he would ask Condi but I would really like it if he returned the favor and asked John Kerry. That would be sweet.

HUH?? You mean, for elected office? :) I don’t think so! I only just recently got over stage fright, something that’s a killer when you’re speaking publicly. I have no party, so I’d have no money behind me and THAT’S the Mother’s Milk of politics...I was a Dem for 26 years, a Repub for 4 years and an Indy con now for 12 years. A man without a party...and I kinda like it that way! No “big brother” looking over my shoulder...Thanks for the suggestion, though. I’m kind of like Tancredo, which is “a negative” if you want to run for office. The Invasion issue is THE issue for me.
No, rather than RUN for office, I’d rather run FROM office! Seriously, I’d take a sabbatical to be on Mitt’s staff, if he’d have me! I really like the people endorsing him, although the one surprise is Sean Hannity...THAT was a shocker!

There is one thing FRedheads and former FReadheads have in common. We all supported the same conservative, and do not want McCain to be on the ballot.
I totally understand the frustration some may have with this situation, right now I'm hoping Romney will beat McCain, mostly because I cant stand Mr. Cap n' Trade McAmnesty.
I do agree with Mitts current platform, but I am not blind to his former positions either. If he wins it, I will do my part to hold his feet to the fire.

However, nothing on that link shows that Thompson is LEADING the GOP candidates...It’s a two-way dead heat between McNasty and Mitt with Suckabee not far behind...Thompson, the story says, was expected to endorse McNasty yesterday but didn’t.
