“The mechanism is not as important as the commitment to universal health care...” is what she just said. That’s as close as she comes to admitting the obvious.

Now licenses to immigrants. Unfair. A diversion. Now she says she is not for it. We should be putting pressure on comprehensive immigration reform. (What’s that going to do but propose licensing illegals?)

McCain might not be far behind but Romney is way out ahead!

http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2007/09/18/in_ways_clinton_healthcare_plan_resembles_romneys_mass_solution/

“But the central premise of Clinton’s plan - an “individual mandate” requiring that every American have health insurance - is precisely what Romney proposed in the Bay State, in what was seen as a bold approach to attaining universal coverage. The idea became a pillar of the law, which he signed in April 2006.”

“”What Hillary proposed is in many ways the Massachusetts plan gone national, and I think that’s great,” said MIT economics professor Jonathan Gruber, an early adviser to Romney on the healthcare reform law who has consulted with all the major Democratic presidential candidates. “We are the shot fired around the world again - there’s a whole new movement in healthcare started by what we did here. And rather than claiming credit for it, Romney’s running away from it.””

Go ahead Conservatives, stay home or vote 3rd party. Please let us know who you are afterwords. We will really want to know who you are.

It's worse than that. Some on this forum openly declare that they will vote for Hillary if candidate "X" receives the Republican nomination.

I will not vote for McCain or Romney or Huckabee, under any circumstances.
My wife feels the same way.
2 of my 3 brothers feel the same way, as do their wives.
The other brother is a black-sheep dimwit.
I guess if we vote at all, it will be third party or write in.
I've been down the boogeyman (or woman) road many times.
The country survived Jimmy Carter.
Therefore the country can survive anything.
I wouldn't give you two cents for the republican party anymore.
It is almost as vile as the democrat party.
So here I am, there are probably millions just like me who wont be intimidated, or browbeat
into voting for the lesser of two evils.

So all you liberal and "moderate" republicans can go fly a kite.

You are the reason the party's taken a left-turn.

How about we elect no one and go without a President for 4 years or so? Better than the alternatives. :-)

I guess McCain or any of the rest of them up there would never garnish anything from our checks, like ss or federal taxes. NO SENATOR FOR PRESIDENT.

Well, it has to be high - we have to take care of the illegals who don’t have income or reported income. Also, we have to pay for those in government - they get freebies. You and I have a big family that we never met that need/demand our support.

Doesn’t Hillarycare also cover illegal immigrants? Don’t illegal immigrants get paid paid cash under the table? When they don’t pay she can’t garnish their wages but she could pass those costs onto you.

So how will she enforce insurance payments from those who don’t work? Are they not the largest group of uninsured?
