Clinton says yes to garnishing paychecks
1/3/08 | self

Posted on 02/03/2008 7:30:48 AM PST by DogandPonyShow

This morning on "This Week" on ABC, she was pressed about garnishing wages (to pay for her Health Insurance program) and dodged it a few times before saying,

"George, there will be an enforcement mechanism, whether it is that or something else."

So she is open to the idea of garnishing wages. Her words.

Go ahead Conservatives, stay home or vote 3rd party. Please let us know who you are afterwords. We will really want to know who you are.

Any democrat who is elected will push for universal health care. Their voters think it will be provided without personal cost. Click onto this link to watch who those uninsured people are and to hear them say it is a waste of money. There's no escaping a garnishment.

This is no different from any other tax, which is collected at government gunpoint. Whether for national defense or to send the JBTs into a den of potsmokers, if you don’t pay, your assets will be seized.

A President MeCain would sign Hillary-Care in a heartbeat anyway so I don’t understand your argument?

Hillary - wants mandatory socialized health program
Obama - wants mandatory socialized health program
Huckabee - wants socialized preventive care and to watch your kids diet from the oval office like a hawk
Romney - Massachusetts, need I say more
McCain - whatever Hillary wants him to be for

So what am I supposed to do in the voting booth again?

Hah! McCain will do the same thing for whatever pet project the Democrats have convinced him is in the “best interest” of the country.

Edwards said under his plan, anytime you come in contact with the gov’t you would be signed up for health care. When asked what happens if you don’t want it he said “there will be no choice” This will probably be part of her plan.

Read my tagline. You have your answer. I won't support someone I can't trust to do what is right. If I have no options, then I have no options. There is no lesser of two evils in this election, other than to vote my conscience the best I know how.

Threats and intimidation, even through a proxy, will not work this year.

Do you have a link to that or are you just using scare tactics today to implore FReepers to vote for McCain? The comments you were making on the thread which is asking a justifiable question, Are You Willing To Compromise & Surrender What Our Founding Fathers Set Forth For This Republic?, telling others that the primaries are over, vote for McCain, etc are fitting to the original question posed there.

I have NOT seen a politician who has NOT been in favor of garnishing wages for some reason or another....

I will vote for whoever I think represents my positions the best, whether that is McCain, romney, Mickey Mouse, Attila the Hun, or Gumby.

My vote is my vote, and anyone who doesn't like it can kiss my big hairy arse.

And in attacking those who ‘work for profit’ who is each and every one of us.

I always gave a sardonic snicker when I met Seassholes and they said with an air of holy supremacy that they worked for a ‘non-profit company.’ They’d ask why I thought that was funny and I’d ask two questions:

1. Who funds your non-profit? It is either a very profitable company or profitable citizens who are taxed.
2. Are working at a break-even rate or are you putting a little something aside?

Profit is good. McCain would have no problem taking that ‘unpatriotic’ profit away to help the Leviathan that is our federal state give birth to the next generation Leviathan.

McCain wouldn’t even support Bush’s prescription drug entitlement boondoggle for seniors, and Romney spent his millions attacking McCain for that in Florida because the geezers there support it. Romney also brought Hillarycare to Massachusetts. So, Romney is the guy who will bring us Hillarycare and government-run medical care, and not McCain.

And McLame proposes giving a $5,000 tax credit for health insurance. So where's the money going to come for that? Hmmmm? Sounds like either more deficit or higher taxes to me.

If the Repubs nominate a conservative at their convention, I'm there. If they nominate a socialist, as it appears they are preparing to do, no thanks.

By the way, if you are supporting a candidate who is not advocating the abolition of the income tax, YOU ARE ALSO supporting a candidate who favors garnishing paychecks.

The only ones who have stated their support for getting rid of the income tax are Huckabee and Keyes, and I'm not supporting Huckabee.

I’d rather have the blame for Hillarycare laid at her feet than have the Republican’s names attach to it.

If Hillary wins, we get
Amnesty
Hillary Care
Global Warming Taxes
[but no blame]

If McCain wins, we get:
Amnesty
Hillary Care
Global Warming Taxes
[and the blame]

If McCain is the nomination and I do not vote for him in the general election, I will be saving the GOP from the taint. Heck, if McCain is the nomination, I'll likely change parties before the general election and send a formal announcement to the GOP party HQ explaining why.

We all need to stop working. Take a vacation. Learn to barter. Grow gardens... Stay home with the kids. Get back to our roots. No paychecks to dip into. I can’t think of a more effective protest. They can’t make us work. A few months of this and all the social programs would die, hopefully.
