There is a reason "out rider" polls sounds like out right liar. Rassmussen has Romny McCain tied Nationally. Rass, who has been very much in the McCain camp shows the momentum on Romny's side. That is much more plausible then any of the Media polls showing McCain so far ahead.

Since the Media polls are counting anyone claiming to be leaning Republican in their polls it skews their data. As we have seen with the Open primaries. McCain does well with Non Republicans and loses the Republican/Conservative vote. So the Media polls are skewed in McCain's favor by the flawed methodology they are using.

Well I don’t know, PatJ.

that’s exactly what I’m wondering.

I have a hard time believing that Rush Limbaugh will openly support McCain. He does not like the guy and anyone who listened to him with intelligent ears knows it.

But will Rush “fall in line” like a good Republican?

I don’t know.

If your question is an assertion that Rush will roll over and play dead, I disagree.

Rush might not be openly antagonistic about McCain but dear Lord, the man regularly imitates McCain and it’s not pretty.
Rush just might not address the issue at all but then, why on earth would I listen to the man?

I have a hard time Rush won’t be picking apart this candidate should he get the nomination.

As of yet, I just don’t know.

Here comes the age issue with McCain. It will be huge.

Steffie asks if he can pick Jeb Bush. Will says no. If he were Jeb Smith, he would be the nominee today, says Will.

McCain talks the fiscally conservative line but has DONE northing to actually implement any of his rhetoric. Comparing the talk to his legislative record, there is no reason to expect McCain would be much more fiscally Conservative then Hillary. That smidgen on fiscal moderation from McCain would in no way undo the damage of McCain Leiberman or McCain Kennedy being enacted into law.

With Hillary the GOP members of Congress will unite to fight her big spending agenda. That is a fight we can win since some of the 69 Conservative Southern Democrat from Red States can be split from the Dem Congressional leadership on fiscal issues. With McCain the GOP would fractionalize between the “can’t we all get along” GOP moderates and the Fiscal Conservatives in the US Congress.

McCain’s Howard Dean Moment is inevitable. Unfortunately, it won’t be until after he’s fooled enough Republicans to get the nomination.....

Good points. The Dims really do love skewing the polls and, worse, the primaries for McCain. They are quite good at it, too, with the help of the big media.
