I know there are a lot of reasons to oppose McCain, but don’t you think the Times is going a bit overboard by going after his wife?
That’s like those lefties saying “Laura Bush is a murderer” because she was in a fatal car accident... that, by all accounts, she didn’t cause, but that doesn’t stop the lefties from saying otherwise.
Well, they ran FNS an hour early so I missed the whole Hillary/McCain thing, which is fine from my perspective.
Wow, Rush is going to have a ton of material for Monday.
And I expect Sean will have something to say about being accused by Huckabee of having his opinion being bought and paid for.
I know several of my friends in Britain go for that option they may pay more than the current interest rate but at least they know whatever happens how they can budget their mortgage payments for the next 3 - 5 years.
I wonder if it was Kristol that said to Rick Santorum after the FL Primary, "We beat you guys" ?
There are still people around here voting for Hunter!!
Now I can see writing in Thomas Sowell in the general if we get McCain vs Hillary. See is lying through her teeth on a pull out from Iraq and I do not think she is down for closing gitmo (or is she). Meanwhile with HRC in the WH maybe what’s left of the GOP congress would show some balls.
Thank God for Bill Hemmer, who just summed it up in his intro.
“With the leader having 93 delegates out of over 2000, it could be anybodies race”.
Thank you, Bill.
“I know there are a lot of reasons to oppose McCain, but dont you think the Times is going a bit overboard by going after his wife?”
Yes I do. Kids and spouses for the most part should be left alone.
IMHO...unless that person is politically active on their own...stories on them serve nothing more than to distract from the real issues.
But this is the type of story we can expect more of as the Clinton machine steams towards the convention.
The Weekly Standard crew have always been for McCain. and guess what? In these days of declining print membership, The Weekly Standard was bought by Murdoch’s company.
Yeah Monday is definitely one of those times I’m glad I have 24/7 so I can get the replay.
On this I can appreciate where he is coming from and in a way respect him even if I think he not thinking straight about these issues.
It is other things such as his alliances with the democrats and voting against the Bush tax cuts etc that I find it difficult to take.
intestingly the Mortgage granters thought they had a fix when they revised the bankruptcy laws to TRY and eliminate lien stripping from undercollateralized homestead properties. Under the old system the unsecured portion of the loan could be stripped out and placed in the non priority under securied creditors.
The secured portion of the load would continue.
Under the new rules, it is just easier to dump the whole property and buy something else by paying a few percentage points higher on the lower valued housing market.
The mortgage lobbyists who wrote that portion of the bankrupcy code got exactly what the wanted. (this is the part we chinese proverbs about getting what you want)
I have never made “real” ice tea I do sometimes drink Lipton’s and the powdered Whittard’s ice/fruit teas but they are very high in calories.
Presidentclinton is apparently still just one word. It is the tell above all for which way journalists vote.
That really irks me too. The DBM is so predictable with their outright hatred for President Bush. I don't agree with him on some issues, but calling him Mr. Bush on a regular basis is apalling.
I didn't agree with the impeached one at all, but he was still my CIC. I will quit the military if Monica's ex boyfriend's wife is elected in Nov.
Although I was for Hunter myself originally, I am firmly behind Romney now. If Hunterites have Immigration as a big issue, they should IMMEDIATELY change to Romney...he IS our only hope to save our country from the invasion!
It could have been, but I got the feeling from Santorum’s words that it was a politician who said it.
It is not about fixed or variable rates. She said she wanted to freeze rates which is the government setting them. That could mean two things. People that took lower short-term variable rates do not have to pay higher rates as the benchmark went up. Which would be the end of variable interest? Or she actually means ‘freezing” or setting the rate but at what rate? It is like welding one of your front wheels from turning or rotating. Fixing rates will wreck the economy.
Bahbah .... Thanks for the notes on MTP, I don’t have the stomach to watch that show
Also, snuge, there is no comparison between being a prisoner of war and being an illegal combatant/terrorist dressed in street robes and blending is with civilians.
I think it is totally fair.
If McCain has a Lady MacBeth for a wife then the public should know.
Hillary Clinton is running for president ENTIRELY based on the fact she was married to the most famous presidential filanderer to be in the oval office.
