BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. -- The State Attorney's Office will decide whether to charge two teens who admit they robbed a 9-year-old Girl Scout selling cookies outside of a Boynton Beach supermarket.
"I thought that it was a really mean thing to do, and I was sad after," Girl Scout Gracie Smith told WPBF News 25.
Authorities said that a 17-year-old girl in a hot-pink sweatshirt approached Smith outside of a Winn-Dixie supermarket at Hypoluxo and Jog roads in Boynton Beach Wednesday evening and asked the girl what her favorite cookies were. Police told WPBF that, while Smith was telling the teen about her favorite Cinna-Spins, the teen snatched an envelope containing about $167 off of Smith's table, hopped into another teen's car and drove away.

The scary thing here is these two girls are a lot less unusual than we would like to believe. We are breeding and raising a generation with no social conscience.

Oh yeah, they would really be mad if they were my kids. The first thing to go would be the car. I would sell it and donate the money to the girl scouts.

So am I the only one who was thinking, “Paris Hilton”, when I saw the video of the two thieves? They seemed cute and slutty with the same dimwitted and amoral outlook on life.
You shoulda seen my high school. This girl thinks stealing is ok, and everyone in my classes basically thought cheating on tests was ok. Morality is becoming lost on much of our youth. But it’s not completely gone...we still have College Republican clubs. LOL
Teens won’t be charged? Great idea. So next time they will commit a worse crime, and eventually they will end up maiming or killing someone. Then the question will be asked, as always, “where did the system fail?!”
On the TV station website 97% of those polled say these pieces of garbage should be charged. In the comment section the responses are unanimously against the thieves. Seems like the American people are almost united on questions of crime and punishment yet they continue to elect legislators and executives who don’t do enough to get tough on crime.
Another fantastic justification for why I decided to never have kids decades ago. “We needed the money.” Disgusting.
