Dear Mr. Huckabee,
For the sake of the Republican Party and your future political viability, please consider stepping down before this Super Tuesday.
I know this is asking a lot, but most conservatives despise John McCain as a politician. If you cause him to be selected in the primary, this will hang around your neck like an albatross. You will not be able to remove it. If you think you will have favoritism from McCain, first, you can't trust him and second, he will not be elected. The base, a good percentage of what would be your future voters, will not vote for him. He will loose to the Democrat candidate, and your political future will be over.
If you have people reading this forum (I strongly suspect you do), then please consider backing out of this race. If done correctly, you could elevate your political future and gain the appreciation from a very dedicated national base.
You do not want "moderate" or "independent" love, because they are so fickle. You do want our respect. Please step aside for now.
Thank you,
Free Atlanta
Excellent post.
Gee, I was going to write a similar piece to Romney.
Agreed. Especially before Tuesday.
I’m sure we could find someone who would like to write this to McCain as well.
From your computer to God’s ears. If the man wants to keep any shred of respect, then he should take one for the cause of conservatism and for the Republic.
This is getting serious. We cannot afford to lose our way of life to the Third World which will invade us.
Good post if only Huckabee can get it and do the right thing.
Why do you want Huck out? Do you want McCrazy to win by a wider margin?
I agree...
Dear Mr. Romeny,
Since you only recently hit conservative puberty and it took 60 years to realize that homosexuals hsould not marry, Kennedy is not the standard bearer on social thought, and that abortion is wrong and definitley should cost at least $50.00, I am asking that you please step aside and allow a long time conservative to win.
Governor, you are a nice guy with deep pockets. But as you can see in Florida, money can’t erase your flip flopping past. Money can not keep you from being pummeled by the Clinton machine because of the huge vault of past mistakes they surely have on you.
Please, for the sake of our party step down. I would rahter lose on principal than to win on dishonesty.
Do you really think the Huckster is going to drop out of the race for the sake of the wing of the party that has relentlessly savaged him ?
Unintended Consequences are all too prevalent in this election ...this is one of them ....
I think all three guys should stay in it. They all have
a right to be there.
Dear McHuckney. Be conservative heroes and drop all your sorry butts out of the race.
lol
Hey Huck, I tried to send you an e-mail earlier but couldn’t. When you answer this , will you also tell us your plans for Duncan Hunter. It’s important. It could make a difference Tue.
Thanks CD
DON’T — send yours to Huckabee. The weasel who accused President Bush of having an “arrogant, bunker-type mentality.” Huckabee sounds just like a Democrat.
If he wants to be a real hero, drop out comes to mind.
Heck. I wouldn’t do it just because of all the bad names he’s been called on FR.
Have you not seen the polls done without Huckabee’s name on the list? He is pulling more votes from McCain than Romney. It is Romney who needs to drop to give Huckabee a chance to beat McCain.
Better idea. How ‘bout Romney, Huckster, McCain and Paul ALL step down and we can put a REAL Conservative as our nominee ?
