Supporting communists is not what we do. Any Republican over the Commies is what we do. So get a grip.

Sorry fella, but this simply isn't a Republican site. It's a conservative forum, and we're just not going to support liberals who happen to be in the GOP.

Conservative does not mean the same as Republican. it nearly did during the Reagan years, but did not mean the same before or since. Most conservatives are Republican normally, but many Republicans, including McCain are not conservatives. Many folks consider him closer to the pro-military socialist Scoop Jackson.

Nor is Romney, McCain or Huckabee considered a conservative. So don't expect the more thoughtful posters on this site to swallow some nonsense about electing the lesser of two evils.

I have had the same thoughts my self. It is my opinion that the Iraq war is all but over, the American people will not support troops in Iraq much longer. The longer we leave them there now the more we now put Afghanistan at risk and we need to be there for the next thirty years.

But none of that changes the fact that insane McCain is not mentally are physically fit for command.

True, but I'm not so sure the GOP doesn't have a few communists that have infiltrated the ranks.

On a semi-related note, I wanted to go to RealClearPolitics.com today to look at polls so I googled "RCP." I found whackjob Bob Avakian, Chairman of the Revolutionary Communist Party (RCP) USA had a current newsletter out praising Obama.

"The time to stop McCain was now, in the primaries, but unfortunately that does not look like it will happen."

Don't give up; notice what just happened in Maine.

"RETIRED ADMIRALS AND GENERALS SUPPORTING JOHN MCCAIN FOR PRESIDENT"

Out of 2,000 retred generals and admirals, that's a pretty short list. All I know is, my son was in Iraq 4 times, and his opinion is that McCain is a bad candidate.

When Reid and Murtha and Kennedy are counseling surrender, he is smiling in silence. Then he twists what Romney said and says HE should apologize to the troops. Pathetic. Truly McLame. Perhaps he's shown leadership in the distant past, for which we applaud him, but we haven't seen any from him in his 25 years in the Senate.

I think that we can survive Clinton or Obama because we will be on our feet fighting. OTOH, another ‘compassionate’ conservative or just plain fake conservative will destroy us because too many are just too willing to lay back and take it.

It would seem that they’ll give anyone rank these days. I’m glad these men are retired.

Hmm not sure thats true !
I would say there were probably more ‘liberal’ republicans during the Reagan years. (Not that I approve of them but I still take them of the likes of Hillary or Obama! There are NO Scoop Jackson democrats left!) For example, Robert Packwood, Al Amamato, Charles Percy, John Chafee, & Lowell Wiecker, to name a few. The conservative viewpoint was very much he minority!
