Maybe a lot of people watched the last debate or they got McCain calls that totally turned them off. IMO, the worse the inside polls look, the more rinos McCain has coming out of the shadows to endorse him. If McCain is so hot, why is he so over-endorsed?

I don’t necessarily dispute your somewhat incoherent argument, but I think it’s a measure of how much a lot of freepers, including me, hate McCain, and have been hating him for a long time.

Fixed the grammar

Could you please change this headline to reflect the Romney win in Maine after you verify the victory.

Thank you.

The problem with choosing a candidate who pays Conservative issues lip service while having no intention of doing the right thing means that you’re still getting screwed.

If there was a more reasonable alternative doncha think we'd take it?

McCain is no non-starter. That leaves us with Mitt.

"you won't find me spamming McCain threads demanding that all of his 8 supporters open their eyes and vote for someone else"

Listen, I want you to know that I truly with all my heart believe that Mitt is evil and dangerous. He is everything that scares me in this world. He has zero consistency in his moral compass and issues.

This is not the kind of man that should be President of my Country. I can understand why all Mormons support him, but there is no excuse for anyone else to even consider this creep.

He will say anything to get a vote. It's up to you to see that he is a fraud. How can you sit there and support this guy? 25 years ago people would have laughed in his face. Now people TRUST him to be PRESIDENT?

TRUST MITT? He is a Liar and and are a fool to support a fraud.

I could care less if I get banned from the Free Republic, This is a travesty that the site is over run with people supporting a lying FRAUD. He is dangerous and not a person that should ever lead the free world.

I think the endorsements are a miscalculation.

Giuliani is pure RINO and his endorsement had the glow of RINO.

I find it telling the MSM is blacking out the Maine primary today.

But for FR I would never have known about maine.

I’ve seen about ten in the last day, all either exclusively pro-McCain or anti-Romney, all registered in the last six months.

Are you suggesting that there are more Romney bots here than anti-Romney/pro-McCain bots? Maybe you’re just not looking at the sign-ups for the McCain/anti-Romney people because you don’t disagree with them, at least not as strongly as you do with the pro-Romney bot (who I know also exist).

Regardless, I really hope JR sh!tcans the spam-activism soon. It’s irritating as hell.

besmirch one decent man like Romney.

If you were spreading your hate among all candidates you don’t like, it would be more understandable.

Just quit it

Nobody here has besmirched RINO Romney

hes an old man of 60 and he did it to himself

Show me where you have posted glowing wonderful things about McCain or Huck and I’m sure someone will set the record straight

just dont say RINO Romney is a decent man or conservative..

and then nobody will have to correct your idealistic self

If RINO Romney had run on his record is one thing but the Orwellian dream doesnt wash

The Democrats will eat him for breatfast

Nothing - not chinese missiles, not the WOT, not tax hikes - matters more than preventing the legalization (with inevitable emancipation) of tens of millions of illegal aliens.

If that happens we're screwed in all those other areas anyway as the GOP as we knew it will never see meaningful power again.

IMO.

Well I just went to the WV State GOP candidates web page & counted those who identified themselves as senators & delegates. So I stand corrected.
I still have heard any cogent rational arguments from you as to why I should hate Romney.
He is certainly not my personal first choice but compared to everyone else he is the best we are going to get.
Our choices are McCain, Romney, Huckabee & Paul and nothing else! It’s an imperfect world with imperfect choices.
You honestly prefer the Stalinist Witch to Romney?
Heck I even take the moron McCain over her!

I know he won Florida and they endorsed him there as well, He is ahead on the over all poll numbers over romney and hillary.

If Romney wins at the convention, he will be supported either way we go with the winner of the priamries.

We do not vote for demorats.

Listen, I want you to know that I truly with all my heart believe that Mitt is evil and dangerous.

That's obvious.:) What are you afraid he'll do that we should be so concerned about? I've watched McCain since the 1990s and he reminds me of everything that I'd never want to be. Sure he did his duty in the 1960s but then so did Max Cleland, who suffered far more but I still wouldn't vote for him either.

As I said, they’re both distasteful, but Romney beats out both McCain and Huckster for being a non-starter, hands down.

Juan McCain, MY FRIEND (not) was in Tennessee telling the crowd about riding to the gates of hell to get UBL. Well, that's nice but UBL might be dead so it may be a waste o' time, Juan.

Tennessee has a major illegal alien problem. He was not too smart to go in there and not know that.
