Romney, the former Massachusetts governor, had 59% of the vote with 3% of the towns holding caucuses reporting. Ron Paul trailed with 19%, John McCain had 18%, and Mike Huckabee and undecided votes each had about 2%.

Since I agree with you that we are tearing ourselves apart over two relatively good men that are trying to get the nomination... I will clarify the position:
1.Some of us are Tired of McCain getting slammed by Sean and Rush and Romney getting a pass on his past liberal views.
2. McCain ran for President in 00 and his Conservative Credentials were never questioned.
3. Some of us want Romney to somehow beat McCain but not because we love Romney’s Conservative policies but because we are being told how out of touch McCain has become...
4. Why does McCain have to be torn down? Can’t Romney stand on his own Conservative principles and history?
The politics of personal destruction are part of the problem.
No she isn’t, but your comment indicates you certainly are.
You know that is dishonest. That was not done by either the Governor or even the liberal Massachusetts legislature. It was ordered by the judges and courts in that state. Lets stop with the baloney. _______________________________________________ No, youy stop the baloney If that were true, a decent man would have just walked away instead of compromising his integrity.
Then we wouldn't have any men left in this country at all would we? Millions of abortions going on in this country and we are paying for a large percent. It was legislated by the Supreme Court just as the courts acted in Massachusetts.
You do know that Romney has never governed as a conservative ???
You have no guarantee that he wont appease the liberal democrats..
Who own both houses
And he still has to get elected
if RINO Romney is running true to form, then shortly after he got the GOP nod he would forget you and try to out liberal Hillary or Obama
Hes yours to deal with
dont ever grizzle in these threads
Too many here will have a looooooooooong memory
Yes, and then President-elect McCain goes on a Thanksgiving turkey shoot with Vice-President Cheney. Always look on the bright side. ;-D
Real Romney Record in Massachusetts
Real Romney record in Massachusetts By Matt Kinnaman Article Last Updated: 02/01/2008 01:08:08 PM EST
Saturday, February 02 LEE Massachusetts has suffered for nearly 50 years under a growing Democrat monopoly in the Legislature, leading to one of America’s most inhospitable business and economic climates. When Mitt Romney was inaugurated governor in 2003, the Massachusetts Legislature was drunk with deficit spending, and awash in regulatory revels, suffocating entrepreneurial energy and reducing incentives for existing companies to stay in the state, never mind relocate here. These same lawmakers routinely ignored the will of the voters on ballot initiatives, including their smack-down of the people’s approval of an income tax reduction which the Legislature refused (and still refuses) to implement.
It’s no wonder that Mitt Romney inherited a state economy that trailed overall national numbers in manufacturing, output, job growth, and employment. The real wonder is that, as a Republican governor entering this morass of economic opposition and obstructionism he was able to pull the budget into the black and build a big surplus, while forestalling an adversarial Legislature on income and capital gains tax increases.

Why aren't you pinging the person you are maligning?
My choice is “None of the above” you halfwit.
Yes, we really need to treat spamming operatives with more respect. You betcha.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
the chimney is calling the pot black ????
Not a drinker here, your projecting, what’s it tonight? Vodka?
No but this MittWhit has looked at the alternatives and decided he's the least offensive.
McCain has spent the last 8 years doing everything he can to make republicans and Pres. Bush look bad and himself look good. Actions have consequences my friend.
Huckabee. He can be president of the Baptist Church but not never President of the United States.
“4. Why does McCain have to be torn down?”
Ahh...Tomnbeverly, aren’t you the one that just said your wife said Mitt looks a little light in his $1000 loafers? Come on, who’s tearing down who?
We can call candidates RINOs all day, but they are in our party, have paid their dues so to speak and generally we get upset about 1 or 2 positions that they didn't completely toe the line. All the candidates are flawed, but none as flawed as what the other party has up.
The only real viable option is for Conservatives to get up from behind their keyboards and run for office. This may be the beginnings of a legitimate third party, and should that happen, it won't necessarily be a bad thing - but that should take place AFTER McCain takes office (or Romney if that is your view). We simply MUST NOT allow Hillary and Mr. Sink to return to the White House. What a mockery of our country that would be! To say that in the past 20 years only TWO families in this country of 300 million are capable of producing a President????
As I remember she used to crash the Thompson threads, throw a few bombs and then congratulate herself in few post before drifting off. Ignoring her is best, you feed her and she starts hangin’ around.
The only spamming around here is the regurgitated horsemanure from the paid Romney trolls and bots.
I didn't.
Perhaps you prefer crack ? You’d have to smoke very liberal quantities in order to take Romney at his word. :-)
What are you gonna do on Wednesday when he loses ?
