"You discount Santorum, but he’s in good company when it comes to Mitt’s immigration position, for example. Romney also has Tancredo, Sheriff Arpaio and Kris Kobach."

Tancredo the back-stabbing Judas and Windbag Arpaio, the man who made Butch Napolitano Governor of Arizona ? Yeah, great company. Too bad about Kobach, I used to like him.

The best we can hope for with Juan McCain is that he picks Fred or Mark Sanford as his running mate and drops dead after the general election. In fact, I’m counting on it. He’s already older than his dad was when he bought the farm. See, you gotta look on the bright side. ;-)

Romney is portraying himself as a conservative. He is not. His record contradicts those claims. Those who support him continue posting half-truths about who he is and what he has done. Because of that, there are people, like me, who will, therefore, continue posting the rest of the truth about who he is and what he has done. To you, that’s called “bashing.” To me, it’s making sure the “whole” person and history is not revised.

there’s no Conservative to vote for. At this point, I’m just here to stop Romney

Donate to the Democrats. I’m here to support lower tax rates.

If McCain gets the nomination and no other strong third-party option emerges, I'll be getting behind Paul too. He's wrong on the war, at least from the standpoint of denying the legitimate reasons for invading Iraq and the nature of the Islamist threat (it ain't about bases in Saudi Arabia), but I actually agree with some of his foreign policy. Socially, he's a conservative dream. And he does seem to be the only man in either field who knows the first thing about the constitution.

If he wasn't so spectacularly off-base about Iraq, he probably would have been my candidate a long time ago. But he is, and that's relegated him to last-resort status for me. I'm more comfortable gambling on the sincerity of Romney's conversions than I am with Paul's total misread of the Iraq situation. That's the only real difference between us on this.

Mitt Romney is the only Republican who can debate Hillary or Obama on health care with credibility because he actually did something instead of yack yack yack. And health care is a big deal with Americans. A very big deal. Go, Mitt!!

He sure does remind me of a President... what's his name... oh, yeah... Bill Clinton. They both sure love lying to the rubes.

You goal in life is to “stop Romney”? What a sad goal. Fortunately, there aren’t very many of you ghouls out there. Romney is a fine family man.

Are you people even serious? Sometimes I feel like I’m in twilight zone on this board recently...

Mitt Romney is getting Cheers... The guy that morped his pro choice position to pander to the base... is being vaulted...

The man that raised taxes as Governor many times but explains them away as fines, fees, levies... getting lauded on Freerepublic..

The man that never had to stake a position on illegal immigration before the Conservatives made Amnesty a four letter word.... Getting cheered like he was Duncan Hunter...

and in the begining days of the surge when Mitt had no comment about it and McCain basically said I’d rather win a war then a presidency...Romney gets a thumbs up on FR as a great foregin policy maker? When Romney does say as to timetables... “ I think its something that we could negotiate secretly with the Iraq leaders”.... and gets a pass from Sean and Rush regarding that defeatist mentality ...

WOW let me check again and make sure I didn’t wander over to DU by mistake....
