Mc took Washington Co 46% to 35% for Rom, but thats just 113 votes total. Caucus was a sleeper and not binding.

I want you to say where and in what circumstances Mitt Romney acted like a Clinton; what he lied about; details!

If Mitt wins Maine I can guarantee a Faux News Gap.

Fred Barnes, “it doesn’t count.”

Mort, “Can’t be important, not what the polls predicted.”

Wallace, “What Maine?”

I would really like to hear details. I hate innuendo and drive-by condemnations.

What I’ve also noticed is this other strange ailment taken over so many of them: historical facts and positions are now “meaningless.” It’s become more “meaningful” and “right” to “just belieeeeeeeeve.”

Reagan’s motto: “trust but verify.” I’ll be sticking with that one, tyvm!

I can respect that. Just how have you known him for the last 14 years? Did you have business dealings w/ him?

My mother felt the same way about Reagan after his stint as Governor of Calif. She didn’t like the abortion bill he signed into law, nor the 1 billion in tax increases to name a couple of things. But he governed in a very liberal state. Ultimately he became the leader of the conservative movement & one of the best Presidents we’ve ever had.

It took awhile for my mother to forgive & forget, but ultimately Reagan won her over. Hopefully Romney will do the same for you & others at some point. Remember, Reagan was a Democrat just 4 years prior to his running for Governor. Reagan’s history wasn’t perfect. Only one has that.

History plays a part in the decision making process, but ultimately the only thing that really matters is what one would do now. I believe Romney would govern as a conservative now. For me, Romney’s past is as irrelevant as was Reagan’s when he ran for President.

That’s really one of the main differences between Romney & McCain, Romney says he was wrong on certain issues & now believes differently, McCain still won’t admit he was wrong in the first place. What’s Clintonian is the way McCain tries to cover that up!

Read Wikipedia. The report on MITT ROMNEY is GOOD. The report on John McCain is NOT SO GOOD. The report on Mike Huckabee stated that when he left the Arkansas governorship, the hard drives on the computers were destroyed. That seems more like Huckabee acted like a Clinton, because that’s exactly how they act!

Astonishing. I mean, we’ve had hundreds, if not thousands, of threads, probably over 1,000,000 posts and they all of a sudden want us to go do their research for them when they’ve been here all along and if we do go find the material, they respond with “BS”, “I don’t believe it” or “You want Hillary to be President.”

Go to any Mitt threads, for starters. Then proceed to McCain threads, then on to Huckabee threads.

You’re being disingenuous, at best.

Yes, if Romney wins Maine, it will not make any news at all. Yet if McCain had won, it would be "proof" of his momentum on Faux News and everyone would be saying that we don't even NEED SuperTuesday any more, that it's over and done with and McCain IS the nominee. MSM sucks.

You are the second person on this thread to ask where I have been. If you look at my posting history, you will see that I read FR every day. I am still waiting for one EXAMPLE of a lie that Mitt Romney has told to you or to the public.

This is good news! I’ll be honest. Mitt wasn’t my first choice and I still have some areas of disagreement with him. But I think he’s a good man personally and I think he’ll govern as a conservative if elected. McAmnesty must be stopped.

If you had more than a general dislike of the candidate, you would write out one specific example. If I were asked the same question about McCain, I could write ten bullet points in no time at all.

I do not believe that you have a specific instance! I am not asking you to do research. I can do that. I am asking for your reasons for what you claim on this thread.

I supported him in his first Senate run in the naive belief that any Republican was better than any Democrat (I was up in MA briefly during the end of his campaign in Oct/Nov ‘94). I didn’t realize until later he was looking for a short-cut to the White House.

This isn’t about a couple of things, this is about the man’s entire character and record. There is nothing he can do that will ever change my mind about him. Nothing. He’s a liar, he’s a phony, he’s a con-man, and he’s a liberal that has absolutely no core values beyond an insatiable lust for the highest office. He was a horrible Governor, an even worse party leader, and he left wreckage from the former and buried the latter. He has an obsession like Gore did regarding the WH, both believing it was stolen from their fathers. A rich liberal with no accountability. He’s one of the most dangerous political phonies I have ever come across, and that includes members of both parties, and he cannot be trusted with any power whatsoever.

For those that believe his “past” (meaning January 2007) is irrelevent, they are absolute pig-ignorant fools. Those that ignore the past are doomed to repeat it. Remember well the old adage, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. He already did it once to me, and my failure not to ring every bell to alert Conservatives of good conscience that this man is a lying fraud would make me an accomplice to his deceit. That is my penance for having supported him in the first place. Never again.
