FEBRUARY 1--Mississippi legislators this week introduced a bill that would make it illegal for state-licensed restaurants to serve obese patrons.

ok. THen don’t take it. Or take it and eat less. If you start with the assumption that you are a helpless waif, guess what? You will be a helpless waif.
By my reasoning, my diet coke will cancel out the calories in the candy. lol
fat people should be embarrassed to eat in public but our society no longer has shame

Nannystate alert.............Geez
>> this is NUTS and just plain wrong.
I agree.
All kidding aside, here’s how I see it. You want to eat and get fat — including really really fat — go for it!
On the other hand, fat people should exercise some responsibility to go along with their liberty and the choice they made. In other words, someone’s obesity is NOT a “disease”, for which they get special-victim-class treatment, free motor scooters, free stomach stapling, special parking places, and so on. And, if it costs more for health care because you choose to be really fat, then YOU pay for it. Not everyone else. If you take up two freaking airline seats, that’s YOUR problem, so buy two!
And certainly, taxpayers ought not to be on the hook to take extra special care of fat people. It is a lifestyle choice, not a disease.
Just my 2c.
I was living just outside Atlanta in Douglasville in the late 80’s. There was a fried seafood place there that had “All you can” fried catfish on friday nights.
I rarely went but one night in there they kicked or asked him to leave rather this huge 400+ plus black guy out because the owner said that he had eaten too many. She told him that 32 catfish for $6.99 was all she was “givin”. He got real mad about it but ended up leaving before she call the cops.
This guy was eating catfish like that cat on Tom and Jerry. He as practically inhaling them. It was like he was seeing how much he could eat for the money.
LOL
John
If you like coconuts AND milk chocolate, you’ll LOVE haystacks. It’s lumps of coconut mixed with chocolate.
yummmmmmmmmmmmmm
I love that place.
THe problem is, all the four foot wide food addicted freak shows in sweat pants creep me out and make me lose my appetite when I go there. THen I don’t get my money’s worth.
This wouldnt survive the first lawsuit, and he no doubt knows it. Just another politico using his office to make a statement. That statement being, Im wasting everyones time with this and dont belong in office.

Agreed however thats what they said about the first bills outlawing smoking in restaurants the state doesn’t own. Give it time.
haaaaaa.
(sorry....but, that cannot go with any kind of "reasoning" fofl!)
This insanity and the smoking laws and the fact that Calif. wants to control your thermostats makes me wonder when we will revolt
vaudine
I agree; in all things, moderation and responsibility (extremes and excess are never healthy).
Who cares “why”? The point is it’s a problem that should’ve been addressed.
Balance the calories in with the calories expended. IF you keep gaining, eat less. IT’s that simple. Blaming it on something else won’t fix it. It’s your problem, you fix it. Don’t pretend you are helpless.
You’re vile.
Butter.I can name a man's poison at fifty paces. I take one look at this guy as he walks in and say to myself, "Butter."
He steps carefully, like there's something sticky on the soles of his shoes. Maybe there is, but I figure he moves like that because he's on unfamiliar ground. Never seen his face before and I know just about everybody around.
...
it is like the old joke about pornography, I know it when I see it
“Good. Let’s cook it and eat it.”
And I want fries with that!
They'll go by width. If you can't fit between two uprights in the lobby without turning sideways, you won't be seated.
